70% week 2 drop for God of War is consistent with the last iteration.
Expect 80% drop for Gears week 2.

Should be a close race.

God of War is selling like expected. I expected better from a Gears game but people obviously know its a spinoff. Both games are selling a lot less than their predecessors. As a spinoff God of War is selling better than Ghost of Sparta.

I don't know how you can compare the prequels. One has the main character and the other has side characters. It is pretty much Gears version of Halo ODST.

For prequels...

GoW is doing good.... Gears is doing bad.

Gears is a bigger franchise this generation than GoW... it had better opening and lifetime sales but seems like GoW prequel will sell more than Gears prequel.
