I dont think the blame can be put 100% on the game being an MMO. Yeah, its part of the reason... But Final Fantasy managed it with XI at a time when MMOs werent "in". It became SEs most profitable game.

Yes. DQX should have been a traditional DQ game. As it was though, it should never have been a Wii exclusive.

DQXI will be a 3DS game. And the 3DS will continue to get pretty good support from SE (Expect FFV and VI(!) Remakes).

Could also probably expect a XIII Trilogy on Wii U, too.

It will be lucky if it will crak 100k LT. Do you even browse trough the COMG pre-order charts? The Wii version was a disaster sales wise, and the blame is mostly on SE. WHy on earth did they believe that the game will do well? A DQ MMO on a console that has by far the poorest online component. The game would have died on everything, except, maybe PC...

At least on the last generation of games; don't tell me The World Ends With You isn't a piece of art.

Lately, Square Enix has not put effort in their games, no matter if Nintendo or the others. So be patient. Perhaps they'll recover their touch. And yes, they'll put effort in Nintendo too.

The safest way if you care about Square-Enix games is to get Playstation platforms and maybe 3DS.



So it is happening...PS4 preorder.

Nintendo screwed themselves by not supporting their own console as well as they could have.

But Square Enix does put effort into Nintendo games as long as they are on the 3DS or another handheld.

Some of the Square Enix DS games are amazing



     
Games can and should tell stories and share ideas through their mechanics. This is the intrinsic element of the medium and this is how experiences should be crafted in video games. No company does this as well as Nintendo and their echoes from the past.

I will buy it and I don't care if others won't. Why should I care for Wii U owners who complain about missing support but don't buy the games once they come? I bet most people who always complain about S-E have never played their wonderful Dragon Quest remakes or great new games like TWEWY or FF: The 4 Heroes of Light on DS or 3DS. Up to now Deus Ex: HR is the best 3rd party announcement for Wii U imo.
