Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Digital Foundry: Most Wanted U beats PS3/360 versions

Since you have absolutely nothing to say, could you at the very least learn how to cut the quote trees?

i'lll make it easy for you to understand wiiu, 360, and ps3, all have advantages to one anothere, this port is a very small jump, that was released later, didn't have to meat the holiday dead line, like the ps3/360 version, so this games proves nothing about the wiiuu hardware, if you were to look at some 360 to ps3 ports you would say 360 is way more powerful, the game is not a big enough jump to say wiiu is more powerful then 360/ps3 because many 360 games show a much bigger jump then wiiu or even ps3 for that matter.

Wow shocking news! A "next gen" console surpasses a console has a superior version of a game... honestly nintendo is pathetic at hardware. To JUST inch ahead of 6 year old consoles is pretty sad.

Your comment is really funny and I expect comments like that.  Nintendo is either WEAK AND SHITTY ALL THE TIME and people deny that their old consoles are inferior (which is JUST NORMAL!!!!) and when they finally see their consoles really and obviously are inferioir its always  OH WOW   GREAT JOB  NINTENDO YOUR CONSOLE IS BARELY MORE POWERFUL THAN XXX YEAR OLD HARDWARE  HERE YOU GET A COOKIE AS PRIZE.

Lol really?

Who do you think comes up with most of the comparisons?  Who are the ones caring about WiiU hardware the most? The people that want to bash it and then when the Nintendo fans  use that to show that the WiiU is not crappier than PS360 its  LOL WHY DO YOU EVEN COMPARE WIIU TO OLD HARDWARE OF COURSE ITS BETTER?

Total Kindergarten style of thinking.

Do you know what this type of behaviour is called? Its being scared (of competition.)   You know like "The smallest dogs bark the loudest" (they have to compensate something)

I  accepted a long time ago, its doesn't matter though, most of the 360 to wiiu ports the 360 has a much bigger jump, for instants AC3 has a 5fps advantage the whole game, while wiiu version of need for speed only has a 5fps during crashes, which do you think is the bigger leap, not to mention the othere multi-platform games, the jump is very small in direct feed pics prove this, unless where talking about frame rate and as for ninja gaiden 3, read the imporessions they say the framerate is much much better then the wiiu version, in a game like ninja gaiden i would consider that a  night and day differnce.

Okay so make a Wii U bashing thread based on that once DF analysis comes out again, why are you using this thread for Razor's Edge lol? I've heard of some input lag horror on the new releases though, hopefully that gets patched soon just like the performance improvement patch that Wii U got not long after release.

So less than five months to:

- Re-optimise the game for new and unfamiliar hardware.

- Improve and modify the graphics.

- Come up with and implement Gamepad features.

- Add extra content.

- Get the game approved, published, and shipped.

They didn't improve the graphics. It is based on the PC version. ¬_¬

Also, where did you get this "less than 5 months" figure?

The modified night time lighting isn't based on the PC version.

And in interviews they talked about not really coming up with ideas for it until after members of the team had bought Wii Us for themselves over the holidays, and about how they used dev tools not available at the time of the launch.

Critertion themselves have said the improvements were due to the Wii U's greater RAM and horsepower.

Why is this thread still going? At this point the "irrational emotional fans" will keep arguing no matter what the evidence, developers, and digital foundry says. Some people just keep moving the goal posts instead of just being man enough to eat crow.

If you think this is bad, just wait for the waves of denial when Nintendo reveal their AAA franchises at E3 lol. 3D Mario and X reactions in particular are going to be a hoot.

And after years of development Pikmin 3 should be eye catching too when they FINALLY decide to release it.

"We sat down at the end of the year, once we'd taken a break, and that was a great opportunity for the Wii U team to sit back, take a look at the work that's been done, and really push ourselves to think: how can we make this game new and improved, and also unique to Wii U?"

Also talks about how co-driver mode came about through: "Those of us having the console at home, playing with our wives, our families, our sons and daughters."

He makes it sound like they didn't start really planning how the port would play out until holiday 2012.

They don't say the porting process was done in less than five months... In fact, the video actually indicates that it took much longer than that.
