At this point it's incredibly encouraging just to see Nintendo doing SOMETHING to remedy the problems they're facing.

This has me thinking, it might actually be faster to just power off the system then boot it back up before the update lol.....

How are they going to deliver it is my biggest question. The non premium version has next to now storage.

For all we know, the update could make the OS smaller. That happens sometimes, and if it's moving faster, maybe it's because it's more streamlined.

Looks like a solid improvement. I'm guessing Wii U owners will be glad to see this.

However, for the people calling this "impressive," no. It really isn't. It's a significant improvement, but "impressive" is definitely the wrong word to use.

Now, if they can shrink the OS and get more RAM available for games, that would be awesome, though I have a feeling that would be too good to be true.

Agreed, it's much, much better, but it still just feels a little bit slow. But it's certainly manageable now.

Yeah, I don't own a Wii U, so I didn't realize how significant the problem was.

This video puts the new load times about on par with competitors, so as long as this cuts menu load times across the board (and I can't imagine it won't), no one should have any right to complain...when the update arrives, that is.
