Not sure if you want most influentail or best

Anyway most influential would be

Gears of War
Wii Sports
Call of Duty 4
Just Dance

Best games would be

Halo 3
Bioshock
Dark Souls
Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion(with a few mods)

I personally thought it had the worst campaign in the series. :P

Don't forget Uncharted. Most games in this coming gen will be taking from its immersion, cinematics, gamplay and camera movement.

Call of Duty 4's campaign made super scripted cinametic campaigns popular. Gears of War is what made the cover based third person shooter popular. As for their platforming in a third person shooter and character interaction among each other. I really don't think too many games have done that for it to be considered one of the most influential games this gen.

Actually its their multiplayer, rarely do people ever talk about COD's single player. Infinity Ward found the answer to create multiplayer thats fun an addictive for hardcore and casual gamers alike. Tomb Raider, Star Wars 1313 and other games took from Uncharted. The Gears formula doesn't work for any game but Gears and being a Gears head myself I haven't seen any other games succeed in copying it. Tecmo tried to copy Gears and failed hard. Assassins Creed has more games taking Succeed from its style than Gears, look at Batman Arkham Asylum. Uncharted has set the standard for narrative based action adventure TPS. Gears sold better than Uncharted, but Uncharteds style works for telling stories better. Gears is fun as hell and I love it, but its style works best for itself. I wouldn't copy it outside of animations.

1st: Halo 3 (it pushed online gaming to the next level)
2nd: Wii Sports (it introduced the casuals)
3rd: Skyrim (It executes the RPG genre perfectly well -except some technical issues on the PS3)
4th: The Walking Dead (it paved the way for episodic content. Yeah, some did it before, but this one will make it mainstream)
5th: Angry Birds (if you make billions of dollars with a game that costs 100k to produce, you are doing it right)
6th: Modern Warfare 4 (just like Halo 3, just on another level. For better or worse)
7th: Minecraft (it made indie cool)
8th: Uncharted 2 (It executed the Action-Adventure genre brilliantly)
9th: Gears of War (THIS is the definition of badass for video games)
10th: Geometry Wars (it paved the way for smaller digitally distributed games on consoles)

All IMO

Erm.... I'm all for people having different gaming tastes/opinions, but come on! Modern Warfare 4 doesn't belong on that list, it hasn't even been annouced yet, let alone released. Granted, it could be the next revolution in the FPS genre but its probably best we wait and see.

Uncharted 2

One of the most influential games this generation. Showed how color should be used in games and has been emulated in titles like Black Ops 2 and Gears 3.

Far Cry 3 and Tomb Raider were obviously heavily influenced by the game. Tomb Raider especially, as its basically a knock off.

Probably the Uncharted Series :)

I make videos that are sometimes funny I think?

Check out my Youtube gaming channel here!

Super Mario Galaxy - Hell, i was PC/Xbox Gamer for years and my last Nintendo console was the N64. This game pulled me back to Nintendo. It is THIS good for me personal and it stands in my TOP 5 of best games ever. (i bought my first Wii early 2012).

Halo 3 - i loved the first 2 and i bought the 360 only cause of this game

Dragon Age:Origins - nothing else to say here

Red Dead Redemption - it overshadowed my favourite Western-Game GUN

Twilight Princess for the Wii - my first Zelda after Majoras Mask, made me fall in love with Zelda again

Pyro as Bill said:

1. Wii Sports. No explanation necessary unless you're a fucking idiot.

2. Wii Fit. See Wii Sports.

3. Wii Play. Still amazes me how people think a game like Limbo is 'better' than Wii Play when it clearly isn't. No indie or X-box live/PSN shite has ever come close to Wii Play in gameplay/replayability/value.

4. CoD. Goldeneye started it, MS modded it and Activision prostituted it.

5.Minecraft. LEGO should be shot for not making this 5 years earlier. Videogames are toys after all. (Just ask Will Wright or Sid Meier).

6. Wii Dance aka Just Dance.

Call me crazy, but it seems like you're an angry fanbouy. Hopefully I'm wrong lol. It seems as if you made this thread just to prove a point that maybe a lot of people argue against?

EDIT: I wish I knew you in real life to simply prove most of your points wrong and see your very odd reactions, this thread is priceless  =D

Galaxy 1 & 2 and Xenoblade are deffo up there, and also Arkham City. The latter being the greatest comic book/superhero type game ever made.

Sonic & the Black Knight. Awesome game, redefined the Sonic genre.
