Forums - Nintendo - What could Nintendo realistically do to get you to buy one of their systems.

I kinda miss playing nintendo related games(haven't since the n64) but the only way I would ever get the wii-u is if its free or if its way cheaper and when its library begins to over flow in exclusive 3rd party support

as for 3ds I currently do want one, but I just haven't cared to buy one yet

I think 'exclusive' 3rd party support is going to be a bit of a stretch. Simply multiplatform 3rd party support should in theory be a lot better than any previous generation for Nintendo, but exclusives? Not convinced yet, outside of Bayonetta 2 there is rumors there are more Nintendo-funded 3rd party projects like that, but i'll take that with a spoonful of salt for now.

Im happy  for nintendo that they acquired Bayonatta 2, but if 3rd party continue to ignore their console funding 3rd party projects is the only way to go,

perhaps unleash a killer app also in the process!

I bought a 3DS 6 months ago, with 3dmario, RE and Zelda, played for a little while, but did not like that much. I still use it once in a while fo Ace Attorney games.

stop all the Mii shit and start making games for adults, stop charging me a lot of money for outdated hardware. also they seem to think that a story doesnt have a place in video games, until they change that flawed perception they wont have me as a consumer

You're such a big ole meanie >.<

I'm lying I actually agree

Playstation = The Beast from the East

Sony + Nintendo = WIN! PS3 + PSV + PS4 + Wii U + 3DS

NSMB2 and Tales of Abyss are all i have on 3DS and both are surprisingly very good.

Final Fantasy games, and a lot of other JRPG's, and a price drop to 299/249 the 3DS is my favorite handheld thanks to Fire Emblem Awakening.

To spite all the awesomeness Sony brought last week. That should have been impossible to bring that much win all at once, but they still did it.

yeah..that aint gonna work. I imagine that you'll piss yourself off and sell it just like you did your 3ds. So you'll just be spiting your self.

Adding achievements and cross game voice chat for Wii U would be a nice start. The lack of games is also a problem, but time will fix that. The small user base is an issue too, but things will probably turn around when major 1st party games start to come out.

Add achievements to 3DS as well that are linked to the Wii U. Also, make it so you can redownload content in the event that the Wii U bricks or you buy a new system.

Basically it is minor logistical things that need to be solved. I would actually consider switching to Wii U over Xbox if they ironed this all out. Sony and Microsoft have these problems solved, but they just don't have Nintendo's unmatched 1st party titles. A cheaper price tag on the Wii U would make it easier to talk my friends into getting one too (they are buying one eventually, but it will just be for exclusives).

Since I already have both I'll say what they can do to not make me regret the purchases. (Which were impulse pretty much.)

"X" and HD Zelda had BETTER be amazing. Wouldn't hurt to see whatever Mistwalker is doing either. (WiiU)

Pokemon X/Y really captures that feeling from childhood, the massive amount of JRPGs make it over here, and an original 2D Metroid. (3DS)

Same here. I bought both at launch and don't regret either one, although I am starting to feel the effects of that software drought on Wii U though. Its not too different from how I felt about 3DS initially, so I'm hoping the Wii U will make a nice comeback for me like the 3DS by the end of the year.

Same here again. I't looks like it will start to shape up later this year though, on the wii u software front.

For the WIIU? they would have to come out with some awesome new ip(s). also getting on third parties good sides wouldnt hurt.

or

pokemon mmo that works. then they have my money for life
