At this point, we're veering into the realm of actually counting the number of people who think a certain way on the forum. Since you seem to understand the futility of doing so with a biased perspective more than well enough, judging by one of your recent threads, I think we needn't go any further. Proving that there's more people who enjoy points than those who dislike it or vice versa is something we're not going to manage.
Just for the record, though, there is quite clearly some number of people who enjoy points, considering there have been people arguing for them, such as pezus, who posted right before you.
I personally enjoy points because they're a fun way to keep track of things. Not much more.
