Forums - Sony Discussion - Vita selling out in Japan

The challenges of a pricecut come in the shape of sustained sales, not a one-off week.

If sales stay high THEN its a success.

Good for vita and sorry for being the realistic one but even if some developers saw the sales of the vita reach 500k this week the games they would start making wont be ready for another two years at least

You're not being reallistic You're being Troll... is proved that ports to Vita can be done easily (in 6 months  and half Oddwolrd Stranger was ported by ONLY ONE PERSON to the PSVita... Yeah sound crazy, but that was confirmed by the developer...)

and the very least not ports of past games.. rather more multi games from Namco, CRAPcom, square, SEGA, etc.. and from little developers.. being proved that on Vita sales are good for niche games (Demon gaze, Ragnarok Oddissey, MonPiece are some examples)

Lets not forget that even at its oh so little install base, the Vita version of Persona 4 has sold almost the same as the PS2 version with its millions and millions of install base.

I'm sure developrs have taken notice and have already started making /porting games for the vita months ago.

Case in point, DOA5+ got announced just a few months ago and is already being released this march. Muramasa also just got announced recently and is getting released end of the month I believe in Japan...

Sakurasou is already out, but I didn't buy that one.

Nyaruko is set to come out May 30. I'm a fan of the novel series so I hope it turns out well.

Honestly with games that currently have set releases, summer isn't looking very solid yet for Vita. The biggest set releases are probably Photokano Kiss and Valhalla Knights 3. Actually, those are April and May so not really summer.

I have a feeling God Eater 2, Toukiden, and Gundam Breaker will all end up out by the end of summer though. Dragon's Crown maybe.

Great news, I love my vita. It's hands down the best hand held ever created when it comes to hardware, capabilities, and looks. It just needs the boost from games but looking at soul sacrifice and tearaway melts my worries away.
