This has been posted several times already.

"Why can't they transfer them to the new console?"

Because the PS4 will not contain the hardware required to run PS3 games.

Then explain why, when your copy of ___ is available on the PS4, you can't simply download it? It makes NO sense. If your purchases are saved in your PSN history (they are), then when they become available on the PS4 store, then why can't Sony let you download them for free?

I'm assuming when you say '___' you mean a PS3 game? Sure, they could let you download it to your PS4, but then what are you going to do with it? You still won't be able to run it. Why is this so hard for people to understand?

Let me try and make myself more clear. Take, say, The Journey. Lets say you bought it on your PS3, right? Then when you buy a PS4 and go into the PSN store, you see The Journey for sale. Why can't Sony allow, via PSN DL history, you to simply download the title for free on your PS4?

No one can explain this to me.

You're assuming all the PSN content will be sold on the PS4 storefront. No game will be sold there before it is ported to work on PS4. How they handle PS3 owners who bought the PS3 version and want to download it on PS4 remains to be seen. Regardless, it require time and effort for Sony to make these games compatible with the new console, it's not a switch that Sony turns on and off.

And snuggle the girls be they short or tall,
Then follow young Mat whenever he calls,
To dance with Jak o' the Shadows."

I've already explained this to you.

Before the PS3 everyone was nice to me :(

I don´t care, my PS3 is in top shape =D

Also, I will buy a ps4 at launch TO PLAY PS4 GAMES. =D

My grammar errors are justified by the fact that I am a brazilian living in Brazil. I am also very stupid.

I actually have no problem with this. I love backwards compatibility, but I don't expect it. I wasn't offended when my SNES games couldn't be played on my N64, and I'm not offended now.
