i would love to see some fitness and dancing games and entertainment stuff

I want some exclusives to surprise me...another halo/gears/fable/forza won't really mean much. Drop some bombs...new IPs..3rd party exclusives etc etc (some in action/adventure/H&S genre)

lol honestly the rumor has been going around so much that just confirming there will be no anti used/always online stuff would be a big deal

it will be hard to top sony thats for sure. i hope sony dont have the same features as the ps4 because people will say they are copying sony

If I were Microsoft...

1. Have a Halo game ready at launch. It doesn't have to be Halo 5 or a remake of 2, but an exclusive Halo shooter at or near launch would be very helpful.
2. Have strong support for Kinect 2.0. A new Kinect Adventures-like game, a new Kinect Sports or Joy Ride game, etc.
3. If possible, launch with Forza 5. I believe this series can come to compete with Gran Turismo if pushed right. Admittedly, a Forza game was released a little while ago, making this unlikely, but a Forza announcement would still count for something.
4. Announce Fable 4. Fable 3 is going to sell 5 million, so this should be a no-brainer. Alternatively, turn that Milo tech demo into something special for Kinect 2.0.
5. Rare should have a Kid-friendly game in the works. I refuse to believe that the only things theyve been working on since 2008 are Kinect Sports. They should have at least something to show.

If all the stars align, Microsoft can have Halo, Fable, Forza, and a bunch of Kinect 2.0 titles within the first year of the NextBox's life.



As for none 1st party title stuff...

1. Try to demo some of the same games confirmed for the PS4. Try to steal it's thunder.
2. Be the source of new game reveals, tying new franchises and/or installments to the NextBox.
3. Create a new Xbox Live that has a ridiculous amount of features. Make the Share button look like a cheap gimmick.
4. Overload us with media functionality. Announce partnerships with gaming media groups like, say Gametrailers. Work with these groups to create a symbiotic relationship.
5. Emphasize similarity to PC hardware.
6. Wait as long as possible to announce a price, and make sure the price isn't higher than the PS4's.
7. Make sure the NextBox's Call of Duty "Whatever number we're on" is the definitive version
8. Feature backwards compatibility
9. If Microsoft is feeling confident in themselves, they can show off the NextBox's high quality build. Maybe they can do something ridiculous like have somebody come out on stage holding it, "accidentally" drop the unit, plug it in, and still have it work.

Not all of these are necessary, and other things would be cool. But as an Xbox-agnostic, this would all impress me.

with PS4, they could show multiplats because WE KNOW that they have games.

 

With Xbox, they haven't really had too many games released in the past 2 years or something like that so it would be obvious that people are going to expect games from M$ other than 3rd party


Why would I be concerned. I am just calling it like it is. Based on the Sony conference people keep acting like Microsoft won't have people there to show games and it is ridiculous. Plus KillZone and Infomous don't scare me. If we are talking about buiness they have 1 franchise that moves units.

I am talking about people who writ these articles saying Microsoft better bring the games. People take that as Sony showed up with like 10 First Party games. That is not the case. Of course Microsoft will have the games at their conference. They will have just as many 3rd party devs as Sony did and show a numch of stuff coming up. It is not going to be hard to show more 1st party stuff. KZ, Knack, and Drive Club were the only PS4 exlcusives to have footage if I remember correctly. The other stuff like Infamous was just announced.

That us why I think these people are way off base with these articles about bringing games.

nah they showed a trailer for inFAMOUS along with the announcement but it wasn't gameplay

 

You gotta remember that M$ can't show their whole hand at the April announcement because they have to save something big for E3 but i guess we just have to wait and see


The idea of not showing your entire hand is way over blown. E3 hasn't been the gorund breaking event it used to be in a long time. The big 3 seem to phone it in every year. We have been seeing better stuff a month or 2 after E3 it seems.

They won't beat Sony cause Sony had a lot more to win and more possibilities to convince developers and gamers.
They had a lot to change and did it - Except for some haters who care for a Black Box aka the console they didn't show everything was adressed and awesome.

Microsoft doesn't have anything to get the same impact.
They will continue with the stuff they did in the last years and what they had wit the 360.No change in architecture to please developers.
No new REALLY forward driving exclusives and a big blabla around the new version of Kinect and how they somehow can get people interested about it.
This will be the show.
And does really someone care for the maybe new FPS from the CoD creators?Oo

These are my thoughts almost exactly

The fact that such a big deal was made about not showing the box was a good sign for me because it's a minor complaint that wouldn't be noticed if there was a REAL problem with what was presented.  MS will try to pass off 8gb of RAM as the same as PS4's even though it'll most likely be DDR3 (they won't mention that so as to fool consumers into thinking they're on equal ground).  They will then show the box and make some sly remark about how Sony didn't (Xbox fanboys will make a big deal out of this even though it will make little to no difference when the consoles come out if people saw them in February or June).  Then they'll act like COD and/or BF is exclusive by presenting it and show some kinect stuff.  I will be unimpressed and continue budgetting for WiiU and PS4.
