with PS4, they could show multiplats because WE KNOW that they have games.

 

With Xbox, they haven't really had too many games released in the past 2 years or something like that so it would be obvious that people are going to expect games from M$ other than 3rd party

The really ironic thing about all this is that the PS4 wasn't that loaded.

They announced 2 exclusive games. Two.

While it was awesome and Killzone and Infamous alone sold me the console it won't be very difficult for Xbox to have as good or a better reveal. All they have to do is show a bunch of exclusives

I also have to ask about exactly how Sony excelled at their event.
Is a new design controller really such a big deal when the basic functionality is the same. A touchpad and blue light ??

You have 2 exclusive games which are sequels you knew was coming to the platform anyway just like you know Gears, Halo, Forza, Fable are coming to the new Xbox. If MS shows off their exclusives then it would basically be a match.

MS actually has built up a collection of new development studios which I have not seen anything yet for the 360. This could be the event where most of those studios have something to show.

I think the connectivity of all the windows devices will be a huge part of it.

Two?  I'm trying to figure out what you mean.  Killzone, Infamous, Knack, and DriveClub were all exclusive.

On topic, it's going to depend on the nature of the event.  Sony's conference was aimed squarely at core gamers and developers.  I'm betting that Microsoft has a broader scope, with a lot more Kinect type experiences and less technical jargon.  I think they'll reveal more exclusive content, though it won't necessarily be core content.  Still, I'm expecting at least one high quality first-party IP that we've never heard of before.

It will also be interesting to see what role Epic plays at the reveal.

Why would I be concerned. I am just calling it like it is. Based on the Sony conference people keep acting like Microsoft won't have people there to show games and it is ridiculous. Plus KillZone and Infomous don't scare me. If we are talking about buiness they have 1 franchise that moves units.

The 720 is cancelled.  Maybe it comes out some other year, but sorry, the console that had a banner in the movie Real Steel has been postponed indefinitely.    You should be getting another console later this year.
