It's going to take at least 2-3 years before we start seeing games that display a dramatic graphics leap over the current gen of machines. Go back and look at some of the 360's launch titles... they're essentially previous-gen games with HD textures slapped on them, and they look fugly as hell when compared to AAA games that have come out over the past year or so. Compare COD2 to Halo 4 or Crysis 3... it's like night and day.
For the first couple of years we're going to see many cross-over games being release for both generations of consoles as developers start devoting more resources to next-gen while at the same time trying to take advantage of the current gen's existing install base... 150 million consoles between the PS360 is pretty hard to ignore.
