Ya the ground textures are really horrendous.  But, at I think 3:40 to 3:51 in the video the foliage and draw distance to me look pretty good. 

*edit*  Nevermind the draw distance isn't that good, it's decent.

Did anyone actually expect this to be an MMO? maybe thats why I'm quite dissapointed.

the gif posted up above almost looks haloesque, like halo 1 or 2. Not a bad or good thing. Just something I noticed. I think its the vegetation.

Don't get me wrong guys Im not saying the game will be bad, it very well could be amazing Im just commenting on graphics / visuals.

I expected something that looked next gen and it doesnt even look as good as top end current gen games. And 2hy does the actual gameplay look so incredibly generic? The artwork is gorgeous but from the little bit of gameplay it showed it looked like a generic Halo rip off, which is ironic all things considered.

I'm very excited about Destiny. But if it turns out to be an MMOFPS with no single player option I doubt I'll play it.

I love Bungie, but only because I love Halo. When they left Halo and 343i hit it out of the park with Halo 4 I couldn't be happier that Bungie was going to be making another Sci-Fi FPS. We would essentially be getting twice the Halo gameplay from two separate franchises. Since I can't get enough Halo I welcome Destiny with open arms as a sister franchise to Halo.

I just hope that what we get has that Bungie spirit and has a focus on single player story rather than multiplayer mayhem.

am i the only one really hyped for this game? why are you guys complaining about the graphics, this game is clearly about the experience. the new world or actually the new universe. there is a reason why the mostly showed just concept art, its because they want to show the vision they have, the dream they want to make, the game they want us to experience.

this is probably now my most anticipated game of the year.

It looks like they are betting the future of Bungie on this game.

Most games don't looks as incredible as Halo 4. I wouldn't say that looking as good as Halo 4 is a requirement for looking good because the that would be setting expectation too high. Bungie has rarely  been at the cutting edge of visual tech, but they always get the gameplay right. What Bungie has always focused on are big interactive environments and this looks to continue that tradition.

I'm with you. This has become my second most hyped for game this year after bioshock infinite. It could very well end up sucking but from what has been revealed, it seems like this game has a lot of potential. I trust bungie to be able to make a satisfying fps game, so I'm glad it is and fps. The question is if they will be able to evolve it beyond just a basic campaign and competitive multiplayer. I will definitely wait for the game to come out on next gen consoles or get it on PC though. I think the 360/PS3 versions will have big limitations. 

The only thing that bothers me so far is the damn capes!!! Why is nearly everyone wearing one. I feel like there will be no purpose to them other than to make the heroes look "cooler". Maybe it will be some kind of status symbol, but they just seem out of place in a scifi game. 

I'm with you. I just hope we will have the option to play by ourselves. I don't like to play co-op with strangers and my Xbox friends are a small group that aren't always online and don't always have the games I'm playing. I also like to replay games years later and if a multiplayer community dries up it's over, but single player games last forever. Hopefully what Bungie means by focusing on co-op is the same as what Epic has done with Gears of War. Better with friends, but still great alone.

BTW, I think what little we've seen looks great. What's been shown is almost certainly the Xbox 360 version because MS would never let Activision show the NextBox version before they announce the machine.
