Meh. I wasn't blown away, but it looked pretty nice.

I don't think they really got across what the game actually was in that video though. What was the social aspect? Because it literally just looked like a text from someone asking if they were going to be playing tonight. That's not a new social aspect, people have been doing that for decades.

Otherwise, the 5-seconds-or-so of gameplay I actually saw looked nice. I could always do with more pseudo MMOFPS in my life. I have an itch to play Planetside 2 that Sony may solve with PS4, but I would definitely try out Destiny as well. And if it's coming to PS3, all the better really.

(Textures definitely weren't great in that video, but honestly I couldn't give two shits as long as it runs smoothly and the graphics get the point across. Which they certainly did - at least enough for me).

well i honestly cant comment if this will be able to be played alone or not. because from what im understanding is that they want to change the way games are played. they are saying stuff like "stuff will happen that we dont know what they are because the players will make it happen" and im like HOLY FUCK.  from what im getting is that they are sort of "merging" single player with multiplayer, and thats amazing. if i were you i wouldnt decide right away that you wont play this by your own, let us see what bungie is making, it actually might change the way we see singleplayer games, and multiplayer games as well.

I'm still excited though, I think this could be an amazing game to play with my mates :)

i think there is a reason they havent shown much gameplay yet. and why is it probably not coming out this year? they have enough time to hype the game from here until Q4. i hope it does come out this year, but i wouldnt mind if it came out next year. im thinking about getting this for the ps4 instead of ps3. a game like this deserves new hardware

Well since this game is coming out for ps3, 360, ps4, and nexbox, and not pc then you can bet this is being shown on current gen hardware.  Maybe we'll be shocked on the 20th at sony's event and they'll show ps4 gameplay of Destiny.  I mean they did do the reveal 3 days before the ps4 announcement.   It's probably gonna just be wishful thinking.

they need to give CoD a rest. it would be a shame if this game didnt release in he holiday quarter.
