I'll take a look at it, but isn't it essentially just Google Maps?

It is. It's just neat to be able to turn around and view the environment as if you were really standing there. I've never messed with anything like this on a tablet before, so this feels much cooler than Google Maps on a computer.

As some earlier ND announced it I was underwhelmed. I know already StreetView. Because it was free, I downloaded it today. And was looking up location for about a hour or so. It is a real cool implementation of StreetView.

I played around with it today... The thing I didn't like is when I typed in my address (thinking it would take me to my street so I could check out my neighborhood), it took me to the center of downtown instead.

Other than that, it was cool to look around at other big cities around the world. I will probably use it more before I travel somewhere.

It worked when I put in my address, all the address I put in worked, it's got my old car on which I've not had for ages

Might be cool for about 10 minutes, but I'd probably lose interest after that. I care far more about actual GAMES.

its ok... very clunky and the left stick should control movement not zoom.

I think it's got some good ideas (going around the White House and the Great Barrier Reef was quite fun), but why do you have to use the gyroscope? I don't understand why you couldn't just use the analogue sticj to move rather than whenever you let go it "clicks" back :/

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

those are some good ideas. it would feel like Myst. I'm happy with it though. I got to walk the street where i spent my childhood. (^o^)

i say this because i care, but any android or ios device with gyro can do this in streetview by pressing the free view button.

thanks, I didn't know :-> still awesome

It'd be badass if we had a game around this concept. Something like, being driven around by a wiimote on the main screen, while the one with the gamepad can look around (360 degrees) to shoot at stuff. Hell, could even be in Mario Kart (with a dude in the backseat, Double Dash style)
