Like they don't have any games like that...

It's never been their main focus though.

The core gamer is and always will be their bread and butter.

Can you honestly say that about Nintendo or Microsoft?

The only reason it wasn't the main focus is because people didn't want it. If Sony could have the success Nintendo or MS had, they'd love it. You're basically trying to pat them on the back for not harping on a product that the market said no thanks to.

And of course since it was a dud, Sony is now trying to act as if they are above it. Just like when they were being sued for the rumble stuff, suddenly they had no rumble and it was a "last gen feature". They the lawsuit is over and suddenly rumble is cool again.

People did want it, Sony just didn't push it hard enough for 3rd parties to develop for it, Sony itself barely supported it beyond tacked-on support for games like Resistance 3/Killzone 3...etc. They're even integrating PS Move tech into the PS4 Dualshock....would they do that if Move was such a massive failure for them?

PS Move sales are very good for an optional add-on. It's right up there with Kinect and Wii Fit at the top sellers chart.

lol @ tacked on. They certainly didn't market the Move aspects of those games as if they were tacked on.

And you have no idea how successful it is because per usual, Sony numbers are hidden and/or have no context. Last I saw Sony mention it, they could have announced more idk, it was at "15 million". But of course that doesn't take into account the fact that multiple households will have multiple controllers. Not a direct comparison to Kinect sales numbers or Wii Fit numbers at all.

Bottom line is you seem to be eager to give Sony credit for not making a big push with Move. But they made one, people just weren't interested. Had they caught lightning in a bottle like Nintendo or MS did, they'd be all over it.

If Sony focused more resoruces and marketing on Move, it would have been MUCH more successful. You're acting as if products just become instant hits. They don't. It takes big marketing budgets, exclusive Move games and A LOT of work.(which then tends to take away from the core games)

Never said anything about instant hits. But to act as if Sony did not line up the marketing push or the games for Move is laughable at best. They were trying just as hard as MS with Kinect. The difference is Kinect took off and Move did not. So MS continued milking that cow and Sony moved on. The point being, Sony would love to still be milking that cow. It's not some commitment to "core gamers" or some "love" for making games. They tried and failed.

Again it's no different than their stance on rumble and how it flip flopped depending on their ability to use it. And if Kinect failed then MS would have changed their strategy and distanced from that segment of gaming as well.

They really weren't. It's all about marketing. Microsoft had half a billion in support of Kinect. I can guarantee you Sony had nowhere near that much for Move. The way Microsoft described it, they saw Kinect as they would see the launch of a new platform/console and they put all their effort into it. Sony didn't see it that way and they didn't market it as "the next big thing". They made it clear with the lack of Move exclusives that this wasn't the next big thing for Playstation. Sony saw this as an optional add-on and as a result, so did consumers.

Of course if Move started lighting up the sales charts, Sony would have supported it more, but there's no reason for to have expected that. I'm sure they're happy with current Move sales or else they wouldnt' be implementing the tech into the Dualshock 4. To say that Sony "Tried and failed" with the Move is extremely ignorant. Move is probably the best selling add-on for PS3. I don't see that as a failure.

Sorry to come into your conversation but they weren't. MS spent half a BILLION dollars on the marketing campaign.

No one is saying penny for penny. I am talking intent. MS did a lot of marketing with other big brands for Kinect that really pushed that marketing cost. Sony doesn't need to match MS dollars to also push Move. They did, Sony marketed the hell out of Move. Sony talked before release about how it's not just an extension to the PS3, they treated it as a whole new platform launch. They said so themselves. No difference in the way MS marketed Kinect as both a new experience and an extension to what gamers already have, and the way Sony market Move. Difference is Kinect took off, Move did not.

And lets wait until we see an official controller that the PS4 will launch with before we speculate about anything included with it. Though, including it in the box does little regarding whether it sold well enough or not as an optional accessory.

I see I am wasting my time, hail Sony I guess lol. Though anyone with a logical mind knows Sony would never say things like this if Move became a hit.

This is fake, right?
