If Sony focused more resoruces and marketing on Move, it would have been MUCH more successful. You're acting as if products just become instant hits. They don't. It takes big marketing budgets, exclusive Move games and A LOT of work.(which then tends to take away from the core games)

Never said anything about instant hits. But to act as if Sony did not line up the marketing push or the games for Move is laughable at best. They were trying just as hard as MS with Kinect. The difference is Kinect took off and Move did not. So MS continued milking that cow and Sony moved on. The point being, Sony would love to still be milking that cow. It's not some commitment to "core gamers" or some "love" for making games. They tried and failed.

Again it's no different than their stance on rumble and how it flip flopped depending on their ability to use it. And if Kinect failed then MS would have changed their strategy and distanced from that segment of gaming as well.

They really weren't. It's all about marketing. Microsoft had half a billion in support of Kinect. I can guarantee you Sony had nowhere near that much for Move. The way Microsoft described it, they saw Kinect as they would see the launch of a new platform/console and they put all their effort into it. Sony didn't see it that way and they didn't market it as "the next big thing". They made it clear with the lack of Move exclusives that this wasn't the next big thing for Playstation. Sony saw this as an optional add-on and as a result, so did consumers.

Of course if Move started lighting up the sales charts, Sony would have supported it more, but there's no reason for to have expected that. I'm sure they're happy with current Move sales or else they wouldnt' be implementing the tech into the Dualshock 4. To say that Sony "Tried and failed" with the Move is extremely ignorant. Move is probably the best selling add-on for PS3. I don't see that as a failure.
