The Great Melting Pot of America is one of my favorite things about. So many people from so many other cultures coming together to make a new culture.

Huh? You make it sound like no other country embraces multiculturalism.

America has one of if not the richest history of immigration. Sure lots of nations embrace their multiculturalism, but if you could give an example of even one country with a more diverse population I'd tip my hat to you.

I don't envy any country, but Japan seems very interesting.

Then I switch my vote to Holland I just want to be close to the Autobaughn and Nurburgring, pretty big car nut. I'd have to learn dutch though.....

Good choice! you can smoke pot and pay hookers ^^

OOooo I forgot about the legalized prostitution. Now my hookers are clean!

LOL, still I think Holland is a nice place, it's better then weird loophole laws in Canada and USA where it's legal to buy Weed seeds (In Canada) and legally be able to pay for a stripper escort, who will usually do hooker services.

However I wouldn't want to live in Amsterdam. Isn't it below sea level like New Orleans? I know it's not in hurricane alley, and the dams aren't American made, but still.

Envy? No. But admiration .. Yes. Scandinavian countries, especially Norway. Boss healthcare system.

Yes indeed. But we complain about it all the time (6 months waiting line for people with certain diseases, sometimes even cancer :o)

I feel very lucky to be born an Australian, but if I had to choose somewhere else it would probably be Canada.

I've heard we're very similar.

Out of all the British Colonies, you guys are probably very similar to us, but as a Canadian I always felt Australia was like UK with a little American texas spice ontop.

I live in the USA so I don't envy any other country.

I fail to understand the logic.

--------------------

Getting interesting results from both threads. People seem to envy countries with better economies (Germany, Japan, Northern Europe, Canada, South Korea) and dislike high profile, high population, and politically hostile countries (USA/UK and China).

Guess Cold is good, and too many opinions are not.

I'll spell it out for you then. I live in the United States of America which while not flawless has everything I want so I do not feel any need to move to another nation. I think after work I'll go target shooting, then have some Burger King, watch Star Wars and play some Halo 4. It's good to be an American.

Like I said I've love to visit many other nations, but I'll always come back to the land of the free and the home of the brave.

Fuck yeah!

a while back i would have said my own country (Denmark)..

right now though i believe things is going down. kids making a living by getting themselves famous from being retarded in reality shows while hardworking people struggle to find jobs in the recession. we reward stupidity and punishes effort. i realize this is a problem that has spread to all of europe.. combine this with snow and cold in northern europe and i would like to settle down in Japan where there is still a big focus on dignity. i just think my country is a joke and i get embarrased when seeing the new generation of tweens talking like snookie. i might be spoiled, and if it wasnt fr all the cute blondes here, then i woulda said konichiwa the day i finished college.

Yeah :) it's kinda cool. I like the US
Only sad part is the stupid are allowed to breed too :(, but that could be said for allmost any country.
US is just a bit over-represented with the stupids

Why are some Americans so stupid? I've been reading this book called "A Peoples History of the United States." and it's pretty interesting. I think Southern Americans got used to slaves a couple hundred years ago, and when slavery was suddenly abolished, they just never stopped being lazy. Give them a book, and proper education, and I think they could be just as smart as us.

Not Canada

Not the question, but....LOL. Yea, alright.

There some sort of Pride at being ignorant with many Americans (US Citizens).  I find it a rather odd and baffling thing.   A number of people are arrogant and proud of the fact they know little of the outside world.

I remember I was scheduling something in Ohio and it was a Friday and they asked me to come back on Monday, cause their computer was down, or something like that.  I said, "I will be out of State next Week."

The lady looked at my with a outraged concern and said, "Why would anyone ever want to do that?!?"  (she was serious.)

Now it isn't all of them by any means.  But a number do not want their ideas that they have the best of everything be challenged by learning about other places.

Really not sure I see any point of Consol over PC's since Kinect, Wii and other alternative ways to play have been abandoned.
