Yes, that thread is more sarcastic. But it was short and very obvious in it's manner. He wasn't really putting anything down. Usually you can tell what sarcastic threads are negative and which ones are just for silly fun.

Not only that, but you've been proven right if they were banned for TROLLING.

He didn't get perma-banned for that thread, he didn't even get moderated.

One of them is being sarcastic about an article and sales numbers, the other was just a poorly constructed attack on a console itself. I wouldn't even call it sarcasm.

I'd say there is a line between trolling and a fun poke at another console or company. I don't think I've ever seen a recent moderator cross that line.

But yeah you will have trolls. Not really sure why people enjoy making others angry so much but who knows what is going on through their minds.

With that set a side i dont really think your example was a troll thread. It really could have just been a bad experience, it happens. Personally I've had a few issues with many of my consoles. i don't go posting them on forums unless i want to review the hardware but yeah it could have just been a bad experience. As far as him getting banned because of it, I'm sure there was other reasons why he was banned. I don't see axum banning him for just that one thread.

That thread COULD have been a real experience but axumblade said he was making multiple sarcastic threads so I highly doubt that. It's pretty obvious reading it that his intention were to anger Sony fans.

Most likely.  That is what i kind of figured to be honest.  It's best to keep those type of things out of forums anyways this late in a generation.  Each console has pros and cons and I'm sure people are aware of it by now.
