Forums - Gaming - Samsungs $15m Super Bowl advert

That was pretty good. Nice jab at Apple's aggressive patent trolling. Saul Goodman is the man. Also the lawsuit against Samsung equally hurt Apple. Lot of the comments under such articles even on blogs such as macrumors were bit negative towards Apple.

They need to do what they do best. Make exiting products that people want. Fighting off competitors about how they unlock the phone from home screen is not going to cut it.

The reactions in here.... lol.

Why would people hate Samsung, what is there to hate?

Thank You!

If this was a Sony ad, it would be the best thing since sliced bread!

P.S. Saul Goodman is the best.

Not true. Sony has some of the worst ads for the general public despite being very good in an artistic sense.

15mio for an advert

i'd never ever buy samsung again.
seems they make too much money and i think i shoudn't support them.

Not funny. Wow, Samsung is really spending lots of money these days. What happens when the smartphone market bubble bursts? What will happen to Apple and Samsung?

This commercial was an atempt at positioning their products in the same line as apple products. I dont think it was necessarely badlly executed from a professional point of view, but i wonder if this was the right audience to go to.
Obviously they would be interested in the high class. Does the richest class in the US value the superbowl and watches it? Personally i dunno.

You do realize that some on these forums aren't let us say as enlightened as you are on this particular subject. Sony could be dumping radioactive waste into the rivers of some poor third world country, and someone on these forums. Would not only defend that practice, but they would contrive some reason to blame it on Microsoft or Nintendo. That is just how it is.

As for the commercial it wasn't annoying, insidious, or melodramatic. In a world where so many commercial are exactly those things. This commercial doesn't come off all that bad. I didn't find it all that entertaining, but that isn't my kind of humor either. Other people however love that kind of thing. Maybe I have some low standards, but I think they are warranted. So many commercials prey on insecurities, over sell us on something, or intentionally try to annoy the shit out of us to get us to remember a product or service. Anything that doesn't try to pull that shit is at least okay in my book. I mean come on folks the Presidential campaign was all of a couple months ago. This is a breath of fresh air in comparisson to that.
