Sony don't really have a chance in the USA this gen imo (is it too early to refer to the coming gen as 'this gen'?) for a number of substantial reasons. The best case scenario for Sony in the USA this gen is 75% MS and 25% Sony, and I can honestly see it being more like 80%-20%*

*depending on the pricing being similar



My prediction threads:

Wii U will sell under 40m units (made on 14th September 2012)

PS Vita will sell under 20m units (made on 30th September 2012)

Wii U will sell under 7m in 2013 - I was right

Halo 4 first 9 weeks sales prediction

PS4 to be down YOY in 2015

and your reasoning?  What is Sony going to mess up worse than this gen (in which they screwed up pretty much everything in the US) to decrease market share?

just pointing out an observation and really asking for justification on a claim by many MS loyalists.  Innocent enough.  It's not my fault if people use this subject to troll on MS.

I agree to a certain extent. I think that Sony will give Microsoft all it can handle in the US this gen, but with Halo and COD always huge for the 360 in the US, it'll be tough.
