People who say 720 automatically has the upperhand in NA are ridicilous. PS2 was way more popular than 360 could ever hope to be in NA yet that didn't help PS3.
Next gen is gonna be a leveled playing field when both consoles launch at the same price and time. I still think 720 will be the more popular console in NA but the gap with the PS4 will be very small.

First of all... the 360 had a $300 price advantage. That only happened because Sony thought the Playstation brand was stronger than it actually was.
Second, lets stop babbling about this year lead. If Sony released a $300 - $400 console, the PS3 would have easily passed the 360. The only reason PS3 has been able to close the sales gap is because Sony sacrificed billions of dollars so people would actually buy their hardware.
Third, Sony didn't have to push Bluray. That was just a bad decision that never proved to be essential this gen. They bet on Bluray, it cost them billions of dollars and allowed their competition to thrive. Great job Sony!
The part I bolded, I don't know who this "everyone" is, but I'm not seeing people making those claims. No region is a lock for MS. Sony spent billions on damage control and they still have a chance to be a sales leader in the west. They just don't have any chance of dominating the west like they did with PS1 and PS2.

it's been done before and you get banned lol. gaming is more like politic's. it's a better fit when you think about it.
OT:it's just something to drrive discussion. my good friend sales doesn't believe the U.S. is a lock for MS.
But it looks like that the X360 will really win some regions like US/UK.. while PS3 winning in some regions means not taking the Wii into account.
