He took over a sinking ship. Before you can get that ship afloat again, you need to fix the reason to why it is sinking. That takes time.

3rd party publishers supported the GameCube the first years but they quickly abandoned it. So, it's too early to judge the Wii U.

My post was more about how satisfied those devs were with Nintendo's support, not how much support the WiiU actually gets. But yeah, it's too early to judge the WiiU. Those small signs are encouraging, though.

He was appointed president around the time GameCube released. GameCube wasn't his doing.

He might be speaking of the 3ds e-shop. That one is getting quite good support. The wii u one is dry at the moment, but so was the 3ds the first half year. Anyways, I do not buy nintendo systems for 3rd party games, but I buy the games if they come to them. I think this is a large problem for nintendo, because I'm not the only one thinking this. They need to get a couple of good hardcore first partys so that the so called "hardcore" will travel over and start playing cod on the wii u.

Why do you think that? Cloud gaming doesn't make any sense at the moment. Last time I check in order to have a great gaming experience you'll need at least 4-5 MBps of internet connection. The U.S barely reach that mark with an average of 6.7 MBps, with the global being 2.6 MBps. A LOT of people can't play using cloud gaming. In a some years maybe, but right now it doesn't make sense.

As far as I know the usual mario and zelda does not include wii sports, wii fit and all those other software wii stuff there is, and those stand pretty respectably in those sales lists.

Wii sports games don't count, they are bundled 100% all the time. And maybe Wii Fit too.
