You're the one that doesn't understand.

You say Dead space 3 shouldn't have been made on current gen consoles, and you are blaming Sony and MS...guess what? that's not their problem, it is EA's problem for putting the game on the PS360. And besides it would have been almost impossible for EA to start the development of DS3 on the new consoles since they probably didn't had the dev kits until recently. There are other factor like I mentioned before that the game already have a ridiculous amount of dev cost, putting the game on the new consoles will pretty much be suicide.

Your first comment was that you blamed the aging consoles, which is not true because other games like Halo 4 have done great (in all fronts: graphics, sales, quality, etc) with 7 year old hardware. The scrore doesn't have anything to do with the console the game is for.

1) Aging consoles = People not easily impressed anymore

2) Stuff like Halo 4 and The Last of Us are the exceptions. I expect many games to receive mediocre scores this year, even if they don't deserve it.

1) On this very review they were impressed with the graphics so I really don't understand this. People do not need to be "impressed" graphically to buy the game...CoD, Far Cry 3, Assassins Creed 3, Borderlands 2 are some examples of late games in the generation that not have "amazing" graphics and have sold well, also with decent to very good reviews.

2) What do you consider a mediocre score? Everything below 8? The games will receive bad scores because the games are bad...graphics are just one of the many aspect a reviewer has to take into consideration when given a score.

well, Far Cry 3 did have amazing graphics on PC.

And both dead spaces recieved some scores below an 8. Though I think this one won't score as highly as 2 (a 90 on x360). It's a bit drastic to go all batshit (not saying you are) based on 1 not full review.

I know that, but it is one of the better looking PC games because of the things they changed. Dead Space, on the other hand does not have amazing graphics on PC.

That was my point, I guess, not necessary for this topic haha.

I'm still picking it up Tuesday but I'm worried I'll get bored of it quick, Here's to hoping for the best.

What the hell is up with you and graphics? I never said the graphics weren't great or that they could be better. I'm talking about the game overall whch includes gameplay, features, story, online or whatever. Everything could be better if they built it for a next-gen system in mind.

This isn't just about Dead Space 3, I'm talking about every game coming out this year.  I played the DMC demo and saw frame-rate drops everywhere. The Metal Gear Rising demo froze on me... this is all stuff that is unacceptable and shows these consoles age. Does that mean I won't buy these games or that they suck? No. It just means they could be BETTER in every way on next-gen consoles.

That's why I put amazing in quotations. It looks great, but games like Halo 4 and The Last of Us are graphically better.

We will have to see the full review. But in the details in the OP non of them mentions frame drops, freezes or anything like that. You could implied this by the "Lack of polished" part, but those could mean a lot of things other than technical problems.

Besides, A LOT of games this gen (not just late ones) have suffered from freezes and frame drops, so I honestly don't see your point here. You are also talking about demos, which don't necessarily reflect the final product.

WTF? I am sure you're talking about graphics, but truthfully graphics have nothing to do with what made Dead Space great.
