12gb lol?? Doubt that but I do see a price cut coming. Vita needs a $100 permanent price cut asap and I say $50 now for Ps3 cut and another $50 when ps4 launches

Why is 12gb so out of the question? its in europe already

America seems to account for much of the digal download market. So they wanna make sure we have the storage space to download games.

Shame you can't store games on USB storage.  64GB memory sticks are only $30. Hard drives aren't even essential anymore given how cheap flash memory is.

I don't own a hard drive on my primary Xbox 360. Two 32GB memory sticks is more than enough for the average person.

well in that case they could drop the 250gb to $199

At that rate they would probably be selling the hardware at a loss. Sony wants to sell the hardware at a profit and get more profits from digital downloads.

I don't think we'll ever see a PS3 for $199 or less with a hard drive. Sony should put out a $199 console with ~64GB of flash memory. That's plenty of space for the average user.

They might wait till the Destination PlayStation event on Feb 25th for this. Give the 20th spotlight for the PS4, which might include some Vita compatibility mentions/showoffs but I don't think they would use that event to talk about stuff unrelated to PS4.

Before the PS3 everyone was nice to me :(

I'm pretty sure anyone not retarded wouldn't buy a 12GB PS3. Anything less than 100GB is a rip off for people who will play more than a few games. Maybe if you only play a few games here and there 40-60 would work. I have a 260GB hard drive and I barely have any space.

People who only use physical games, but mostly for those who purchase their own hard drive. This way they can get a cheaper PS3 and not have a spare hard drive lying around after they switch it out.

LMAO!  You have got to be kidding, right?  What do you think the Super Slim was for?  It cut costs of production down dramatically from the Slim, which was already selling at a profit when they lowered the price to $250 (if only a slight one) in 2011.  Trust me, you will see a $199 PS3 this year, whether it be from the introduction of the 12GB SKU or just a price cut to their existing SKUs.  And you will see a $150 one either in 2014 or 2015.  And probably a $99-$129 one in the last year or so of the PS3's lifetime.

And as for your memory statement, why spend $30 bucks on 64GB worth of flash drives, when you could pay $50 for a decent 500GB HDD?  Sure, it's not portable, but that's nearly 8x the storage capacity.

Legit! XD

damnnnnn, even Kaz is saying the Vita has no future. >.>;;;;

There is no reason to price cut the ps3 now, the extra sales from it wouldn't be worth making $50-100 less on every console.

Vita could do with a bit of a price cut, but I don't think they want to lose money on the system.
