LOL...it sounds like your pulling straws at making the Wii U look bad.(it isn't I'm sorry)  Despite the numbers I'm still happy it's not pulling Vita sales(as that is the system that needs a price cut or anything).  I just want to know why such a Sony fan would take so much time and effort on Nintendo boards than Sony boards?

They're right - Nintendo Wii and Wii sales numbers are gradually lowering as a result of Sony's Playstation 3, and soon-to-come Playstation 4, which are taking its market share - instead of the other way around.  There's nothing that Nintendo can do at this point.  Playstation 4 is simply a better machine - that's why Nintendo is being phased out.  I recommend they leave the console harwdare business altogether.  A couple more games and price cuts, what the business analysts in the article suggest, are not going to fix the problem. 

Playstation 4's better features:

-x86-based processing, as opposed to Wii's PowerPC.  This makes porting games over to Playstation 4 from PC effortless. 

-General CPU performance which will be 13 times more powerful then Wii U's CPU. 

-The harware is free.  No profit is being made by Sony due to harware.  Thus the consumer gets a vastly better deal, over $100 more worth of hardware. 

-Built-in Blu-Ray player - Wii U doesn't have a built-in Blu-Ray player

-Massive, worldwide developer support, especially in Europe.  Wii U has virtually no European support.  Already Sony has developers in Finland, Germany, England, and even France working on PS4 games.

stop blindly following nintendo. These sales are not good. You may be happy but there is no reason for that. Nintendo certainly isn't happy with their sales hence the downward adjustment. They are only expecting .94 million shipments in the next 3 months which is the second busiest time of the year. Those numbers are awful already and they will probably miss those projections

We'll definitely be seeing a price cut for the Wii U by the time fall rolls around if the 720 and /or PS4 are due to be launched at relatively similar prices (i.e. $350-$400 range).

Don't forget, M$ launched a version of the 360 for just $299 way back in 2005... they could conceivably do something similar with the 720 to make the console more affordable and appealing during the holidays. If they did that, Nintendo would be up the creek without a paddle.

But they were lying.  I believe those rumoured specifications - they look realistic.  No way Wii U costs $300+ to make, when the Playstation 3 costs $220 or so, and has far more expensive parts, including a hard-drive (which Wii U doesn't have).  Wii U only looks about as powerful as Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 - which is not powerful at all - but in a different zone.  A triple-core PowerPC 750 - dirt cheap.  2 GB of RAM clocked at 17 GB/s - dirt cheap.  Not a particularly powerful system.  32 MB of EDRAM - very cheap as well - basically just regular DRAM in price.
