I participated in this event. We made this silly little thing.

Whether or not we win anything, we will probably finish the game to some degree, and make it available on OUYA and other Android devices.

While browsing through the "games" in this contest, I was looking for any decent entries and yours(which I came upon randomly, not through your link) is far and above the best. Looks like a pretty fun 3d platformer with decent art style for only 10 days of work. Good luck with the final product.

Getting an XBOX One for me is like being in a bad relationship but staying together because we have kids. XBone we have 20000+ achievement points, 2+ years of XBL Gold and 20000+ MS points. I think its best we stay together if only for the MS points.

Nintendo Treehouse is what happens when a publisher is confident and proud of its games and doesn't need to show CGI lies for five minutes.

Hell yeah. This could really become an interesting game. I like the idea behind it. Also, those graphics are really nice, they seem to be a mix between Spore and Crash Bandicoot for PS1?

This is more and more looking like it could be the next big thing. Depends on price.

I don't think Ouya has a chance to winning this gen, but of the new consoles (Steambox, Shield, whatever) it has the best chance for making some impact. They learned two things and made them right, instead of the others:

a) Own games, not only Android or stuff, but games developed for the platform.

b) Price.

I probably will get one - for the simple reason, that I can try myself and program some little stuff for it. That will be much more interesting than programming for PC. Ouya has free devkits, but more importantly it is not needed to pay license fees for publishing something.

Hmm.. I'm starting to come around to the idea that there might be a market for this.  It's doubtful that it will take away from the traditional hardware manufacturers, but the idea of being able to program on it may draw be in - eventually, some people may come up with good stuff, just like some people created good levels in LittleBigPlanet.

Also, that Time Robo prototype looks like it has some potential.

Well, I think Ouya will be successful, if they sell more than 1 million, and I expect it to be below 10 million in sales. That is nothing that bothers the classic manufacturers.

Also I think it not only appeals to programmers or game-artists, that want a platform to try out things. It is cheap (99$), more importantly the games are cheap or are even free to play or Open Source Software to begin with. But it has not only the Android-catalog of games, buit some developed for the platform. That is nothing that makes it interesting for classic console-gamers, but it is interesting for people, that so far only play web-games or games on smartphones. Ouya is the next step (and long term they could be interested in the console-market at whole).

Wow 160 Angry Bird and fruit ninja clones in only 10 days.

It's funny because it's true.  Actually, they should be so lucky.  Look at these games:

Check out this game.  I was actually laughing out loud at how bad it is.  It's like a poor man's Mario.

A Mario game without Mario? Ouya must be mine!!!

It's actually Super Tux without Super Tux http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dRKSannrMHg which is Mario without Mario.

LOL, how could I not see it? That's why it looked so familiar!    Now the only thing we miss is a Linux distro with that one-eyed barbapapa as mascot instead of Tux.

Stwike him, Centuwion. Stwike him vewy wuffly! (Pontius Pilate, "Life of Brian")
A fart without stink is like a sky without stars.
TGS, Third Grade Shooter: brand new genre invented by Kevin Butler exclusively for Natal WiiToo Kinect. PEW! PEW-PEW-PEW!

Quality over quantity, anyone? Ouya will be dead on arrival. We've seen this before. N-Gage? Gizmondo? WonderSwan? NeoGeo? Philips CDi? Jaguar?

C'mon. Don't insult your own intelligence and pretend like Ouya has a chance at being successful. The Big 3 have a complete monopoly on console games, and there's no sensible reason for any publisher to put anything more than token support on such a historically-impossible market to break into.

The Screamapillar is easily identified by its constant screaming—it even screams in its sleep. The Screamapillar is the favorite food of everything, is sexually attracted to fire, and needs constant reassurance or it will die.

Hmm that's fast still quality is everything here. So far I still see the OUYA as some kind of console that uses mobile games like Shadow Gun, Dead Trigger, etc. Still has much potential just depends on what they bring. Doesn't this use the android market?

I also agree with Screamapillar quality is everything. One of the main reasons It's so hard to find something worth buying because it's all the same. Look at all the similar runner games, and RPG's its about the same now. Every blue moon you get something (I thought was unique) like sword & sworcery.

OUYA's a piece of shit scam. Mark my words, this console will never get off at launch, people won't get their money back from Kickstarter, the system will be poorly developed and a complete flop. Do you honestly expect a couple of people to be able to handle business deals, exclusives, online play, e-shops, support and console designs? No it won't happen. And endorsing hackers to come and screw over their system is the stupidest crap I've ever seen. Do they even know what hacking is? There are other ways of putting homebrew on your system all the hackers will do is destroy their 'e-shop' thing, build ISO loader and ruin online gaming. The touchscreen controller is fanciful too and will never bee used for anything. This console will be nothing but android games on the big screen, something already handled quite well via indie games in e-shops. Preorder this scam at your own risk.

Hm, could this be the top selling console of next gen?
