Get a 3DS now, then a WiiU when it's got a bigger library. Right now it doesn't have many games worth the investment. 3DS does. Plus, it's cheaper. WiiU might be cheaper eventually too, should you decide to get one.

Also, if you get a 3DS, be sure to get the XL. So much better than the original.

3DS is cheaper, has a bigger and better library now and has a secure future. It's a no-brainer really.

I'm sure you'll be able to afford a Wii U in a year or 2.

If you consider the 3DS then go for it.
WiiU will still be there when the system sellers launch.

Unless you really haven't played any of the third party ports. Then the library would be decent enough to warrant a WiiU purchase now.

3DS is selling well, Wii U not so much and that can affect it in the long run. Besides that, 3DS is cheaper and won't see a price cut soon while Wii U is more expensive and will probably get a price cut at years end to compete with Orbis/Durango.

So, buy a cheaper 3DS now and save US$ 175 (don't know the exact price in EU, but probably the U price is the double of 3DS too). With a price cut in next hollydays, you probably will have money for a Wii U too if you save some more during the year.

Oh wait just noticed the long run part. Ok for the long run? WiiU most likely will have an awesome library by 2014. Every single system seller and 3D mario, HD Zelda will be out. For now of course the 3DS is indeed better. But if you're willing to wait for a price cut, get the WiiU after it cuts price.

its all about delivery, 3DS will be best, great games now, better games throughout this year, Wii U can wait intill end of this year or early 2014!

Buy both. But 3DS XL for just $169.99 now @ Best Buy with an exciting 2013 lineup. Wii U can wait, unless you wanna be playing Balloon Fight like I am.

I can't advise. Both are great systems so you can't go wrong. Wii U is new so still has some issues, but has some promising titles coming. Then again, same with the 3DS.
