Basically they've ruined their E3 show ^^

Some good announcements, though most of them were expected to come out soon anyway.

Also mark my words. If the new Mario Kart doesn't come with any hardware peripheral (even if it's just plastic) it will do MUCH worse than MK Wii (even if the WiiU gets a 100m userbase). The plastic wheel was the big reason why it was pirated much less in certain regions.

So it will only sell 15 million?

could'nt the samething be said for new mario bros u, but its not exactly lighting the world on fire like the wii version.

The only big games from there were Mario Kart and 3D Mario, both of which were expected. But then again I'm not sure how big 3D Mario and Mario Kart are, considering both the Gamecube and N64 received those games. The Wii U needs a game like Wii Sports. When is Wii Fit U releasing? These are true "anti-doom" games.

and a chance to rebuy VC games!

I expected that.

can you imagine the hate threads that would be posted if sony pulled that BS?

at least the monilith game looks solid.

It isn't BS...
You still can transfer your purchased VC games from the Wii to the WiiU... VC games which you'll buy on the WiiU will be escpecially designed for the WiiU and the gamepad...dev want money for the extra work

its for both casual and core, or maybe people are just tired of mario.

I know core gamers play it, but it's a casual game, primarily targetted at the casual audience. I play it, but it's a casual game. Families are meant to buy it and play it together on the Wii/WiiU. When they have similar games on their mobile devices, why should they pay 40 to 60$ for it.

When NSMB Wii came out it was still new and the Wii was still in an explosive sales movement. Fast forward to now, NSMB is now somewhat stale, and mobile devices are proving a much bigger thread to casual offerings, pricewise and content-wise.

They both will do great.  Wait until you see the sales NSMBU has by the systems end.

There was literally no surprises from the Direct at all. We know the games are coming. Just not this year, which is worrying.

Really? You expected the new atlus game, or the new monolithsoft game? Don't get me wrong, the other titles are predictable but to some extent.

I for one, didn't expected the new yoshi game to look like Epic Yarn or the remake of WW

3DS FC :  4339 - 3326 - 7693. Add me :) Nickname Tin

So my guesses for the rest of the year

March - Lego City Stories
April - Made In Wario
May - Pikmin 3
June - Wii Fit U + $50 or more price drop
July - The Wonderful 101
August - Yoshi's Land
September - Wii U Party
October - Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker Reborn
November - Super Mario EAD Tokyo
December - Mario Kart U

2014:

Bayonetta 2
X (Xenoblade 2)
Super Smash Bros. U
Shinmen x Fire Emblem
Retro's Game (Star Fox?)
Donkey Kong Country U
Wii Sports U
etc.

I assume you're talking about Nintendo Direct? Don't get too excited. The only ones that have a chance of coming out this year are the Zelda remake and the Yoshi game. Maybe even the Mario Kart game. No system sellers coming this year from what I saw.

Anyway its just common sense they were making 3D Mario and Mario Kart, Smash Bros...etc.

They wouldn't announce it this soon if it wasn't coming out end of year or very early next year. You don't know Nintendo.

with pikmin3, wonderful 101, wii fit U, game and wario all delayed i kind of doubt all of these titles will be this year.  too closely spaced to be realistic.

between 3D mario and mario kart one will probably be holiday 2013, the other march 2014.  SSB and the new Zelda are probably holiday 2014 and march 2015.

the aforementioned delays are probably Q2 2013

fire emblem, the monolith game, yoshi epic yarn, WW remake, bayonetta 2, wiiU party could all hit this year (Q3 and Q4) but i wouldn't be surprised if at least one (likey fire emblem or monolith) slips to early (Q1 or Q2) 2014.

imo.

It is kind of limited by the userbase at the moment. According to VGC the Wii U has 2.4 million sales and NSMBU has 1.4 million sales. That's almost a 60% attach rate, which is pretty damn good.

I think there is a chance that Wii Sports U will be released this year...along with Wii Fit U ;)
