I invite those of you who are tired of these rumors to join me in just sticking to a wait and see attitude regarding the next gen.  The endless speculation of "Xbox will be 100x more powerful than WiiU and have 36 cores" is driving me bonkers.  From what I can gather the next gen consoles will be anywhere between 2 and 64 cores, 2-16gb of RAM, cost between $300 and $800, run games anywhere from 720p to 4k, and will have about 1000 different possible controllers.  This speculation is driving me insane!  So that's it.  I'm done with these rumors until at least one of them officially announces (Destination Playstation please!).  Of course I'll probably weaken and be back tomorrow but I'm going to try damnit.  Anyone else tired of rumors and speculation with no official word of any kind?

I've stopped caring about these rumors a long time ago.

We should just wait for an official announcement and some gameplay footage.

It's exciting to see what it can be though. One of these rumors will be true so it's fun to figure out which one. What's the big deal anyway does it really piss you off that much, just don't read it?

Specs can be greater but then the price tag will be more or they will have to sell it for a loss.  You have to balance the specs and price just right.

I am really tired of the rumors on next Gen consoles.  I'm 44, and I've owned every system since the Atari 2600.  

So you have an Apple Pippin, 3DO, CD-i, and Neo Geo?

I don't really care about the specs, what I really need are the games!

It is always exiting to see what's coming but i think there are enough quality games still coming in this generation to keep me entertained for 2 more years. Still can't wait for E3 to see what they have in store.

I never cared about them in the first place. To this day I dont't even know or care about the specs of Wii, PS3, X360 or Wii U (I own them all).

I knew the specs of my gaming laptop when I bought it, but a few weeks after the purchase I had already forgotten the version name or number of its graphics card. Now I'm not even sure anymore if my laptop has an i5 or i7 processor. I could look it up, but why should I when I'm not really interested. And I care even less about specs of gaming consoles, handhelds, smartphones or tablet PCs than about laptop specs.

It's games that matter to me, not the interior or exterior of the systems I play them on.
