I somewhat agree OP. Theres so many different rumours saying different thing that at this point none of them holds any water. They are all fake from where im standing.

Best to wait for the official unveils.

I like the rumors, but I don't put much faith in them. The speculation is fun, but sometimes the lack of logic in that speculation is just mind-numbing. The PS4/Cell processor rumors from sites without any accreditation are just dumb. The next Xbox rumors are all over the place, but part of that is due simply to the fact that the leaked presentation allowed for wide speculation as to what Microsoft is up to.

What I do think is happening, especially as of late, is that there is truth in some of these rumors and other are meant to obfuscate that truth. Hence why you see competing rumors. Either that or it's a matter of people hitching their horse to a particular cart and just feeling the need to keep going with it.

In all honesty I haven't engaged in any of the rumours so far. I can't understand why so many people are saying they are bored of this gen. My only focus at the moment is the exclusives for the PS3 this year and nothing else. I've also wondered over the years whether 'some' of these rumours and the constant bombardment of articles are actually someone hoping to slow the sales of current gen consoles. I've seen very few articles about the 360 and yet I can't go to N4G without seeing a new one every thirty minutes for the PS4 ... it's madness. The last thing that Sony would want is for people to wait and save money for a PS4 when they have TLOU, GOWA, SLY, Ni-No-Kuni, Rain, Puppeteer, Beyond: Two Souls and Before Dawn coming this year for the PS3. It's a great year for gamers, but NOT because the new console could be revealed.

Nope, that's the only thing i'm sure about the processor without looking it up. This particular laptop model was produced with i5 and i7 processors, not i3.

sign me up!! It's interesting and all, but it reaches a point where it because annoying to speculate because we've all heard all the rumors and theories and arguments 100 times before...

Rumors are rumors and regardless of how much we want them to be true we should not listen to them. The problem with comparing specs of consoles to that of pcs is that consoles are built to play games so they never need to be that powerful anyway.

I know how to do it but as I said before: I don't care about the actual specs of systems I own or about specs rumors of upcoming systems.
