They need to pay companies to make good games with big titles for the Vita. This is the most important thing. They also have to force their own studios like Naughty Dog and Santa Monica to each start a team making games for the Vita. When they secure this, they have to cut the price of the console and memory cards. $179 would be perfect, though we'll probably have to settle with $199, which is still a great price for this handheld! Card price has to be cut in half, though this will probably happen some time after they cut the price of the console, not to take too much of a blow at the same time.
Bottom line is - games go first, price goes second.

no that's why I listed it separately from the price cut on cards and said MAKE a 64gb card for $75.  I don't want to be switching out memory cards...like ever, or at least for few years.  I guess if you stick to purely games then 32gb will last awhile but I want movies and music on Vita and to install most of my games (maybe have 4 physical ones since their one case has the slots for that).  With crossbuy I would be installing a lot so I want the storage to last.

probably $199 with 4 GB mem to directly compete with 3ds xl, but the loss is huge i think. how much is the manufacturing price? and their marketing which barely exist...
i think nintendo will release their 3ds xlHD this december following their 18 month cycle

I think that the Vita needs God of War, Grand Turismo, and Grand Theft Auto. If those games can't do it with a price drop, then the Vita is done.
