They need to pay companies to make good games with big titles for the Vita. This is the most important thing. They also have to force their own studios like Naughty Dog and Santa Monica to each start a team making games for the Vita. When they secure this, they have to cut the price of the console and memory cards. $179 would be perfect, though we'll probably have to settle with $199, which is still a great price for this handheld! Card price has to be cut in half, though this will probably happen some time after they cut the price of the console, not to take too much of a blow at the same time.
Bottom line is - games go first, price goes second.
