I voted Sony, but I also love Nintendo.

Anyways, I picked it for these reasons.

- Most JRPGs of any home console
- Free online play
- Can use my Netflix without additional cost (Also do this with the Wii in my duaghter's room)
- Best media capabilities. I can literally just put a movie on a USB stick, put it in the PS3 and it works.
- Always bringing new IP, even late in the generation.

1 and 2 are the reasons i back Sony and Nintendo.

edit: it seems Sony have shown more games of interest as of late. that's the reason for the current poll results imo.  

We are here voting for Sony while Microsoft fans are playing/enjoying their games...

Microsoft:

1. Innovation – they push technology in ways no other company does. They invest more in research than anyone – in 2010 they spent almost 10 Billion on research. I know it’s often hated here, but Kinect is quite interesting piece of technology. And I hope Kinect 2.0 is even more amazing, innovative and entertaining. Where would Call of Duty be without having first Halo in game chat and online play?

2. Customer support – I have only had to call them once, but they were very nice. They ban the ‘unfun’ people off live so you don’t have to deal with them. Then extended the warranty and replaced launch X360’s when they went bad. Give you nice rewards for using their other products. I think they remember, that we, the customers, are paying their salaries.

3. Embrace competitors: You can get even stream Sony movies on your Xbox! Or Amazon, and other companies that are directly competing with them. You can use SmartGlass on you Ipad or Iphone. Sometimes you need to lead, and sometimes you need to join the train, they seem to know when to do this.

As of late.. 2012??

Didn't 2012 favor MS more than Sony in games?..Just asking. 

I'm going to have to go with Nintendo.

Why?

1. Many of my favorite franchises. Zelda, Mario, Metroid, F-Zero, Starfox, Donkey Kong. I grew up with such titles and still enjoy them today, both new and old.

2. No achievements! (WARNING: I am about to offend everyone who likes achievements) Achievements are the lamest fill-that-pathetic-void-in-your-sad-life concept yet dreamt up by the companies that put that void there to begin with. They just pop up every now and then to annoy me. I do not care, just let me play in peace.

3. No risk of going out of business. R&D and early production put them in the red every once in a while, but most years they're well in the black and have plenty to keep them afloat. Microsoft and Sony, while profitable in gaming, are bleeding uncontrollably elsewhere. I worry about Sony, as they're my #2. Microsoft's exclusives do not interest me in the least.

Since voting for you favorite one will actually put a negative light on your favorite, anyone who is smart will vote for the one they hate the most. So currently Sony is winning the in the poll which means Microsoft fans make the majority of this site.

it depends on how you look at it.

2012 i'd say MS do to Forza and Halo4, but i'm more talking about 2013. Beyond 2 Souls, The Last of Us, GOW, Ni No kuni amongst others.

In terms of sales? Yes
In terms of quantity/variety? No.

Wow, I'm quite surprised to see Sony at #1! I thought Ninty would get about 45% of the vote.
