oh dear god please don't release FF13 on Wii U >

which SE big franchises sell the most in Japan?
Why don't you make like a tree and get out of here?
Exclusive to Sony? I doubt it; even PS3 and PSV seem to be on their last legs. If anything, it's Nintendo that has the best shot, especially since they have pretty much taken Japan and Square and Nintendo are no longer on bad terms.

How would you like Versus XIII (I really think they should rename the game at this point - including XIII in the title is dragging it down) on the WiiU? I think I'd enjoy it :D

Versus XIII would indeed be a great asset: the problem is, will Square-Enix think it's feasible to do so? Unless they have some sort of Sony Fanboy syndrome that some fans suggest and if they want to reach the widest audience, I don't see why they wouldn't. Granted Tetsuya Nomura would be devastated, but at this point, he will have to face it: he can't keep on supporting Sony exclusively forever.
Don't really care if any FF game is released on the Wii-U if they all follow the quality of FFXIII/-2.
then "we" are better off
If it isn't turnbased it isn't worth playing
(mostly)
And shepherds we shall be,
For Thee, my Lord, for Thee. Power hath descended forth from Thy hand, That our feet may swiftly carry out Thy command. So we shall flow a river forth to Thee And teeming with souls shall it ever be. In Nomine Patris, et Filii, et Spiritūs Sancti. -----The Boondock Saints

That dual pixels rumor a couple of months ago still has me hopeful for something Square/Enix related:
"Nintendo has also been shopping around for third party developers where instead of buying them outright, either funds projects or their marketing/localization to make them exclusive or feature packed for Wii U or Nintendo 3DS. Expect more projects like Bayonetta 2 to be announced next year including a partnership that will cause huge shocks when it’s announced even worse than Bayonetta 2."
Seeing as how, first, WiiU is poised to do very, very well in Japan, and second, the Gamepad is a perfect fit for RPG menu management...
I'm probably reading too much into it, but you can imagine the possibilities.

^^Yeah, we got our own Monolith Soft now n.n
I thought there would be a statement from SE, the title is a bit misleading.
And..meh, they take a million years to release a game nowadays.
padib/hdolphin...Nintendo has been a force in Japan for years now, and many Japanese devs happily release their games on Nintendos handheld, problem is home consoles aren´t that relevant over there anymore.
Western 3rd parties are the ones who Nintendo really has problems with.
Yoshi-P (director of FFXIV) has said that once the PS3 version of FFXIV: ARR is released, he will be looking at other platforms to put the game on. He was asked about the Wii U and he said until after the PS3 version is released. There is also the talk of putting ARR on the PS4 when that system releases, too.
