Indeed! I didn't know anything about the story of the game until I stumbled upon an old thread from years ago, back when people were still visibly hyped for the game. I especially liked that talk about the game's theme, how it's supposed to deal with darker themes than the usual FF game (death). I didn't want to read too much so as not to spoil anything for myself, but it was definitely interesting.

I hope so.... I've had nothing but disappointment from SE so far from the 7th gen home consoles.

DQ > FF in Japan, SE will definitely put more on Wii U and 3DS...provided DQ doesn't bomb. You don't spurn a console by giving it your best IP for the market. So I'm sure SE has plans for Nintendo. But please no FFXIV, every time I walk by my collector's edition copy my heart aches a little. All that anticipation, built a new rig, constant testing with the damn FFXIV score which led to multiple upgrades....even bought an adaptor for my xbox360 controller so I could use it on my PC for this game. After setting up fifty five accounts on 99 servers to be able to log in and find...........This ain't no FFXI sequel! This is Phantasy Star Universe with FF graphics!

I wonder if Nintendo got Kingdom Hearts and Final Fantasy as multi-plats, Sony and Microsoft's next consoles would get Dragon Quest as multi-plats. I sure hope so, and it seems fair after all!

They said a few weeks ago the disaster FF14 was took the help of every team especially the ones from Team Nomura
He had plans to change a lot and they steal his people to save FF14 - Till this game is done they won't really make progress.Gladly its soon in the beta and they can slowly go back to the games that will interest some people.
But there is a chance right now it could be a PS3 and PS4 Launch Title - Versus13 is using already some parts of the new SquareEnix Engine so it could be a good reason.And it would move units for Sony.

The day PS4 and Nextbox are there and developers are able to overcome the first barrier and start to push graphics the WiiU won't have any 3rd Party Support anymore.It doesn't even have it right now in the size everyone was expecting.
SquareEnix has an insanely good looking Engine for the Japanese Side of their games and just licensed the Unreal Engine 4 probably for western projects and of course the "Eidos" titles.
Usually FF Games pushed graphics pretty good and i think they won't stop.The WiiU won't satisfy their needs in terms of power.Can it even run the new engines?Did they say something about it?
Kingdom Hearts would be a great idea but KH = Nomuras Baby = Hardcore Sony Fan and he loves to push graphics and limits a lot.He won't bring any of his games if he can't push beyond limits with it.But we will see what Wada will do - He likes to decide over peoples heads.

PS : Handheld games are something different.They were a nice addition and made good money for little effort and don't take a lot of people to make.

Well it's not too bad I guess, you at least have a powerful rig that will outstrip every console for years to come. On topic SE will be on the U tbh, the FFs after XIV will obviously come as the series is multiplatform, the eastern side of SE will/are most likely on board the U given Nintendo's rampaging performance in Japan.
