Anyway, I hope the choppiness is just the video. Also the concept made it sound like an action RPG, but this looks like it uses the FFXIII battle system still.

edit: On topic, all those years I waited to a direct sequel to a Final Fantasy I loved (VI, VII, VIII, IX) and nothing.  Now two sequels to a Final Fantasy I wish to forget.  Le sigh.  /rant off

Actually, the trailer made me think they took Assassin's Creed, Mass Effect and Deux Ex, mixed and shook the 3 to create this.

Although I like the new design I don't think it's a very good trailer overall. It doesn't really show how LR will change from XIII and XIII-2, which makes it difficult to appeal to those who were disappointed by these. Furthermore, I expected a brand-new battle system but it seems to be the old one in a new fashion. The paradigm system is relevant when you have 3 characters at least. But with Lightning alone it makes me kind of worried. Btw, her new sword is cool :)
