I dont think its that far out of the question, 16mil might be more likely but im hoping its sales will pick up in the west next year so something like 5-6 million for each of the major territories.

PS3 will stay above 10 million. They have Puppeteer, Sly, Last of Us, Beyond, and God of War coming early next year along with a likely $50 price drop to go along with PS4 announcement early next year.

3DS will be up to around 17 million with some big Japanese games and E3 announcements I'm guessing for the West (Pokemon or Zelda maybe?).

Vita will be up to 7 million with some big stuff coming (Soul Sacrifice and some others I'm just drawing a blank cause I'm not into handhelds) plus a price cut to $200 should help as evidenced by BF.

360 I expect the same decline as this year percentage wise with Gears being the only exclusive and its bad selling throughout the year up until Xmas to be even worse so 8 million.

Wii I'm not even sure what the numbers are this year but not good so I guess around 3 million maybe?

WiiU will pick up but they better announce something big at E3 for the holidays or maybe pull another Bayonetta 2 to keep people's attention and get to 11 million I think (big holiday).

PSP and DS will both continue to drop and get around 2 million with price drops on both.

wow its crazy how close our predictions are

well I'm kinda guessing on handhelds I don't follow the last gen ones or Wii that closely so my higher predictions could just be plain wrong.  PS3 and 360 is really what I'm most confident in as I think $199 is a real magical price point that it hasn't reached yet (aside from holiday deals which were ridiculous this year).  WiiU could be much lower but I decided to be nice.

Sony should release the last of us in Aug., Sept., or Oct. with a special edition console. a GOW special edtion console would go along way aswell released in Oct or Nov.

my predictions

360: 9.5-11m
PS3: 10-13m
Vita: 6-10m pending on a price cut
3DS; 10-14m
WiiU will pass the Wii sales in JP. that;s my only prediction at this time

I think you guys are really overestimating PS360's sales. I put 360 at ~5.5 million and PS3 at ~7.5 million. When Sony and Microsoft reveal their new consoles, their current consoles' sales will crumble. Look at what happened to Wii's sales when Wii U was revealed. Even a price drop couldn't save the Wii.
