Hey let's ban guns because criminals can't get guns illegal because we know most don't in hooded areas and no gun zones!

Using that logic, shouldn't Indiana have a higher number, or at the very least the same exact amount, of gun homicides per capita when compared to Illinois?  However, Illinois ranks #7, while Indiana ranks #21.  And can you explain how a state with some of the least restrictive gun laws, take for example Vermont, can have one of the lowest numbers of gun homicides per capita?

IMO I think you should have to undergo psychiatric evaluations before you can get a gun. It's sad that some fuckhead can just go and kill people and ruin their family's lives. What horrible memories to have around Christmas for the survivors.

It's a sad event... and sad that people are trying to turn it political.

Spree Killing prevalence is not related to gun control.

It's a tragedy all in itself that people's first thoughts are "gun control" rather then "why is someone shooting so many random people."

In this case, it looks like it might of been a teenager.

Veknoid & Dirty - Actually, it's partially true. Unless you want to tell me my Western Civilization book just lied to me. It mentions it in the WW2 chapter in the section titled homefront.

Anyway, the most unimfored post I read lately is this one:

you realize murders, violents crimes, etc, are decreasing every year, and have reached like 50 year lows, all while gun ownership is at an all time high?

gun sales are skyrocketing, especially sales of what you would call  "assault rifles". gun sales reached an all time high in a year, this year (2012), gun sales this november, sset all time high. so many sales occured on black friday, that the BAFTE background check system crached, with how many calls we being place by FFLs.

it seems your theory is incorrect

I'd credit that to abortion and birth control more than to gun ownership. Especially given the fun way in which "crimes prevented by guns" is calculated.
