Nintendo fans don't care about graphics.

Nintendo fanboys, like other fanboys, care about comparing every single atom of their consoles/games with competitors rather than relaxing and having fun.

I care about graphics in the sense that I wanna be able to play GOOD next gen ports on my future Wii U. I don't care if it looks like a high end PC.

They don't. Just wait for the nextbox and ps4 to be released and suddenly nintendo fans stop caring about graphics.

If you've been in the Nintendo forum enough, you'd know Nintendo fans ALWAYS discuss graphics.  'Your statements are false.

It's just that people chose Wii over HD Twins despite graphics because gameplay and UI is king around here.

And I doubt Nextbox and PS4 won't be as all-powerful as you think.

I must admit that I can not see much difference between the games in this videos. I mean, if you are concentrating and focus on actually playing the game while you are playing. The thing for me is that when the Wii U really is meant to be "Next Gen Power"... then I am really not impressed. For third party games I would not spend the money for a WII U when I already have a PS3 if a had to choose between a Wii U or a PS3 version. I have seen larger graphical advancement between PS1/PS2 and PS2/PS3 to be honest.

But another question is if the future PS4 graphical leap would justify spending another € 400 (or whatever it may cost) if I had to choose between a PS3 and a PS4 version of a game. For me graphics have reached a level where they do not matter that much.

and call of duty WiiU has more detail, better shadow lightning and texture, and is still a port...

i don't want to believe the WiiU is barely stronger either, i mean, i don't think Nintendo is so stupid, developers need to get used to the system, seems it's easy to port after all, so it makes absolutely no sense that it is the same graphical level

look at Xbox360 and Ps3 launch titles and now, and Wii, look at RedSteel graphics and Umbrella Chronicles for example...

Even if the graphics are equal to current HD twins. It also has the ability to output the game onto the game pad for multiplayer. SO the system is processing two pictures.

and on tabled at 854 x 480p

The fact that we even have to debate this is freaking sad.

Imagine if the N64 or Playstation were barely more powerful than a Sega Genesis (released 7 years earlier).

I think Nintendo basically set their sights on a system that can run PS3/360 fidelity on the main screen + on the lower resolution tablet screen at the same time.

And that's about it.

The wii launched into the generation of the ps3 and xbox360 with a processor that was slower than the original Xbox's from the generation before, then went on to sell what ? close to 100million Wii units, It wouldn't be the first time that Nintendo launches on the lvls of the previous gen and still Nintendominates with it. Power isn't everything that has always been evident when it comes to which company money goes to.

By the way I'm not saying that the WiiU is slower than the current consoles, almost everything I've seen todate shows otherwise but I live in Euroland where I still haven't gotten my grubby mits on one yet I'm afraid.
