Forums - General - Samsung raises processor price by 20% on Apple

Why the hell aren't these things in the mobile forum where they belong?

Anyway, it's much-rumoured that Apple is trying to move to TSMC for their semiconductors. Samsung knows its losing billions of dollars worth of contracts, so it's milking the cow as hard as it can before it moves to greener pastures. Can't blame them. They're gonna have a lot of idle equipment once the transition's done.

Most giant companies are bullies, even more so when someone steal their ideas. How hypocritical it is to call apple a bully for sueing Samsung but not say the same about Samsung for doing what they are doing.

It's not hypocritical at all... smfh

The best way to deal with a bully is to punch him in the face. That's what Samsung did, and I'm very proud of them.

Hmm...I get the impression from your posts in this thread that you don't know what actually happened between Apple and Samsung...Apple didn't "bully" them. Samsung stole Apple's product(s) and then Apple sued them for patent infringement. There's nothing wrong wih that.

I sense Apple in your blood.

I'm not picking sides, just want to expose the hypocrisy that the thread will promote. At the end of the day you are just the messenger, but you might have a thing for Samsung.

So samsung should just bend over and allow Apple to spread their cheeks and fuck them in the arse?

Erm...as much as I disagree with your terminology, yes. Samsung should admit defeat in the courts to Apple gracefully...not use petty tactics like this; It'll come back to bite them. No company will want to associate themselves with Samsung if they're doing shoddy business practices like this.

Samsung stole Apples products, then Apple rightfully sued them.

Funny on Samsung, but they should be careful, Apple is likely looking at dumping them entirely and that will be a big business loss for them.

I'm sure Apple was already going to dump them and Samsung knew this, therefore they are mearly going to take what they can until the inevitable comes.

It has already come back to bite Apple. Apple won a battle, but Samsung will win this war.

No they won't. Things like this are completely unprofessional and Samsung will undoubtably lose business over this. No company will want to associate themselves with Samsung if they're doing shoddy business practices like this.

Samsung are thieves, but what's even worse is that even when they lost the court case, they're still acting like a petulant child. They should've admitted defeat gracefully.

What will they win exactly, they are about to lose one of their biggest contractors more like it. Their contract with apple expires in 13 months and apple have not sat down with them and negotiated a new contract, the samsung seniors were concerned that they are about to lose more than a billion dollars so they raised the price of their services to apple. Sounds to me like samsung lost again.

Go Samsung! I can't wait till they enter the console business so I can ditch Sony and play on real innovators system

They won a verdict in a hopelessly biased court where the verdict was considered laughable to a number of lawyers.  The damages themselves weren't properly processed either so it remains to be seen if that verdict will stand.  I think more courts have sided with Samsung than against.  Mind you we saw how Apple admitted defeat gracefully themselves by scrawling a petulant and childish statement on their website and not the apology they were ordered to write by a court of law.

I would be very wary of writing statements like you have which are frankly libel.  The internet is not the land of free speech you may think it is.

lol. They did and paid up.

No they didn't. They still haven't given Apple the $1bn that they were ordered to pay...they're appealing it.
