Forums - Microsoft - Halo 4 gets a 20/100 on Meta, proves eview system is broken.

Troll reviewers rating games low to seek attention. They did it to uncharted 3 as well.

Ignore and move on.

To be fair, there are a whole bunch of games on Metacritic with scores like that on games. Kid Icarus had one, Mario Kart 7 had one, and there were more but those were the only ones to pop up in my head.

It's a valid review, I read it and most of what it says is an indictment on not just Halo but all of the other money milking franchises that people are so brainwashed into feeding. And in no way is this review an indictment on metocritic.

Enjoy your game, no need to make pointless threads unless you actually have a point.

Its clear you didn't read much if any of it. The review is basically just a negative spin on everything about the game.

A review by someone who clearly just wants to attack a game... has little validity. Everyone is entitled their opinions, but I don't feel we are getting one from this guy.

The system IS broken, but this crummy review is not the problem. The problem is gross score inflation, not one low-ball review. And the problem is also the weird belief from fans that anything below a 80/100 is a mediocre score. We as fans are part of this problem. I've seen posts in this thread saying Halo 4 can't possibly be lower than a 80. Well, yes it can. It could be worse. It could be a bad game. We need to drop our own unreasonable expectations, and maybe critics will start to grade games more realistically. Ideally, it would be the other way around -- critics would inform their readers -- but I don't have much faith in that scenario.

Tom Chick: "However, Halo's campaign co-op supports four players now. I think this is new. Did Reach support four players?"

Ah, Quarter to Three. I remember them.

I'm pretty sure my scathing yet intelligent critique of their Journey "review" is still in said review's comment section over on the site (unless the guy deleted it like he did others).

EDIT: as for the OP though, that's a joke. The score means nothing to that effect.

Actually yeah it did. It brought down Halo 4's review score from 89 to 88

Yay!!!
