Forums - Nintendo - Does anyone else feel like there is no hype for Nintendo this Holiday?

I don't know about the Internet in general, or the site in particular, but out in the real world, preorders for their new console sold out within hours of announcing the launch date. That seems like a fair degree of hype to me...

That is EXACTLY what i wanted to write lol. Since last E3, I went to gamestop countless of times asking when will the Wii-U be available for preorder. WOke up 9:AM and did it.

I care!! Im super hyped!!!

Me to I'm ultra hyped, some people I see are acting like drama queens in talking about cancelling there orders over one game been pushed back, I mean come on!!

I dont see how that is being dramatic, there are some people out there who were just planning on buying it for one game at launch, and considering that much of the launch line up is multiplat anyway... it's not farfetched.

I'm hyped!!! =)

Now, it's sold out as far as we know, what else does it need to show how ppl are interested??? Besides, I see threads and talks everyday about the WiiU, I don't know how to "measure the hype" then...

lilbroex is perma-banned so no more hyper hype over anything Nintendo

What the hell did he do this time?  This guy never learns, lol

Dunno, but he probably claimed something riddiculous and somebody called him on it and they argued for 5 pages until he called him a moron or retard and got banned

Bet reminder: I bet with Tboned51 that Splatoon won't reach the 1 million shipped mark by the end of 2015. I win if he loses and I lose if I lost.

I believe this is due to the lack of a Big first party launch title. I know, NSMBU is very BIG, but we've already got NSMB2 this year, and SM3DL last year. So, I think Nintendo fans are waiting for a big IP. Zelda, Mario 3D, Smash Bros., Metroid, Pikmin, Donkey Kong, etc.

I love everything about the Wii U, but I think the first party launch lineup (not the launch window) is just average. And average is not a word that fits Nintendo.

We need moar Zelda, now!

We need moar Unchartedzz!

We need less DLCs.

There must be at least one game they can buy until then, and knowing what games are going to be coming in the months following and the Nintendo 1st party games we will see eventually

Im more hyped for Nintendo things than anything else but you don't see it as much on the internet. Not much to talk about yet i suppose. I wont be buying a Wii U for a while (but i am excited for it) but im pretty hyped for the 3DS lineup. Im kinda more into old games than new games though... >.>

I believe that he left and declared that he's never coming back. Also requested a permaban.

It does seem that the "Core" video game players aren't that interested in the Wii U yet, and it's all because of software. There aren't really any awesome "Core" titles aside from Zombie U announced yet. (Aside from multiplats)

because of "core" part, wii u is selling out across the country from the first day when preorders opened (13/9), lol.

for casual part, there's a TV ads on TV now.

boom. It's not rocket science

I'm mad that Pikmin 3 isn't launching with the console. Really, how hard could it be? >:O

For a game that was being developed for the Wii in 2008, it is kinda disappointing.  But it'll be worth the wait!

I was disappointed Pikmin 3 was pushed back. But I would rather then perfect it. Plus some bonus material wouldn't hurt. Like Pikmin 1 and 2 included. There is enough disk space for that.
