Forums - Nintendo - Does anyone else feel like there is no hype for Nintendo this Holiday?

I'm excited for the 2013 year, since a whole lot of stuff has been announced for 2013. For the 2012 end of year holiday season, there isn't much Nintendo has for me. However, it more than makes up for it by how much great stuff is coming right at the start of next year.

Why would i care, when there is 3 other viable platforms that have been serving my gaming needs for years and then some. Thats just me. Cant speak for no one else

I already put my money away for it but In reality most of Wii U's launchsoftware has already been released or is releasing elsewhere too. Outside of NINTENDO not much to hyped about. I wouldnt buy most of that crap on PS3

and truth be told library wise, there is nothing that im really excited for Wii U this holiday, The one game that i would be pumped for I can get for PS3 with exclusive content. Show me a Zelda or Smash Bros.

It does seem that the "Core" video game players aren't that interested in the Wii U yet, and it's all because of software. There aren't really any awesome "Core" titles aside from Zombie U announced yet. (Aside from multiplats)

Now that I think about it... Is Wii U launching with any New noticeable IP's at all?

Wait for the new Nintendo Direct. They hype will kick in then. Furthermore, Nintendo has secured holiday sales with the 3DS with Animal Crossing in Japan and Monster Hunter for the Wii U. In North America and Europe, New Super Mario Bros U and ZombieU will be the foundations for Wii U and the 3DS will have a rich library of Mario games, Pokemon (DS), among others, so honestly, not that scared. I'm more looking forward till after the holiday rush with Animal Crossing, Bravely Default (believe lol), and Fire Emblem coming in 2013 :D

Well there is ZombieU but yeah the Wonderful 101 would of been a great seller :(

Over the internet? Quite a lot actually, maybe not specifically on this site but I have seen a decent hype for the Wii U.

In real life? Absolutely nothing, but that's probably because in my country there isn't that much of a gaming culture, only my gamer friends know about the system.

Nintendo and PC gamer

GTA V is the biggest thing I'm hyped for right now.

I don't have any interest in the Wii U. I'm not knocking it, I hope it sells great, but I'm not going to be getting one. Although if I got one for Christmas I certainly wouldn't be sad.
