Nope. I'm a life long Nintendo fan who owns and enjoyes all the US released Nintendo machines, but the Wii U has nothing I'm interesting in. I'm not an early adopter and I'm happy to wait for the games I want. I did the same with the 3DS. I waited, got the XL and 6 games worth owning the system for. None of those games were launch titles.

The only system lauch with the killer games I couldn't wait for was the Dreamcast. There hasn't been a launch lineup like that since.

When the next full 3D Mario, Zelda, or Metroid get released I'll jump in. But untill then I'll keep playing the systems I have now.

I guess for people like me who seriously mostly only play Nintendo systems it is more exciting. Finally killer visuals, finally power, finally play what others are playing. I do get my hands on new games for a bit when I redbox them, but it is not often.

YEh, Zombie U is one of the few....one game may not be worth the purchase?

maybe those fans bought more than just a ninty console. YOu can be and fan and be underwhelmed

I don't know about the Internet in general, or the site in particular, but out in the real world, preorders for their new console sold out within hours of announcing the launch date. That seems like a fair degree of hype to me...

I would agree with this. Whether it lasts throughout the holiday season is another story, but there isn't anything that makes me think there's no interest in the system.

The Wii U launch lineup just isn't anything to get worked up over. Don't get me wrong, it's a solid launch lineup, and the best since the Dreamcast, but it's a launch lineup all the same, and those are never that great. I'm sure I'll enjoy Zombi U, NSMBU, and Super Scribblenauts, but I'm not going to go cuckoo for them. Nintendo is the only launch title I'm really stoked for.

So, while I'm excited for the system and optimistic about it's long term prospects, there is nothing to drool over at the moment. I'm sure when they announce more down the line (like release dates for Bayonetta 2 and Wonderful 101) my hype will rise.

I went outside my house listened and looked at my neighbours.. no one seems to care about the wiiU.. people just go on about their daily business.. /s

pre-orders are sold out.. if that doesnt indicate real world hype levels.. then yeh... there is no helping you people.

A lot of people are still skeptical about the Wii U. Give it a little time, maybe a month after launch. With all the reviews coming in, 101, Pikmin, MonHun, etc. on the horizon, it'll be the talk of the town.

haha yeh so true.. Im too hyped for the wiiU... hopefully it does really well... and if it doesnt.. well.. we can just do what sony fans does and say "it hasnt been a year yet"... "its only gone through one holiday wait till the second one"... "wait till e3".. and wait for this.. wait for that.. etc etc... lol!
