Nothing stealth about it, I wanted to add to my original point.

It's not good but atleast it isn't as horrible as the early PS3 ads.
If it isn't turnbased it isn't worth playing
(mostly)
And shepherds we shall be,
For Thee, my Lord, for Thee. Power hath descended forth from Thy hand, That our feet may swiftly carry out Thy command. So we shall flow a river forth to Thee And teeming with souls shall it ever be. In Nomine Patris, et Filii, et Spiritūs Sancti. -----The Boondock Saints

A stealth edit is when you try to edit/add to your post before anyone sees it. In this case, Rol quoted you before you had a chance to finish editting.

How is such an image conveyed by a commercial that shows adults playing the game? |
It's called marketing. And yes, decisions like that actually matter. Any competent marketing agency knows that.
There's a reason why a Big Mac in a TV commercial doesn't look like the ruffled crap Big Mac you actually get at the restaurant, because a good marketing agency pays attention, image is everything. The job of a marketing agency is to paint a product in its best light and to emphasize the best parts of it.
The Wii U is a better product that what's being shown in these commercials, it's not a kids toy, it's a let down and they're unimaginative and lacking any vision.
It reeks of something they slapped together after about an hour of brainstorming and not being able to come up with anything better. This marketing agency quite frankly is ripping Nintendo off if this is the best they could come up with.

What's your problem? Did this ad make you angry for some reason? Would you rather they show games with no mascots/mario/sports?
Ugh. They really need to ditch that fucking noise.

Somehow I doubt that's your motivation for all your posts here.

You are the guy who blamed Wii owners for not buying a "legitimately good game" in MadWorld. I think it's fair to say that your judgment of game quality and good marketing is worse than zero129's Mario Kart 7 skills. EDIT: By now you also have edited your posts in this thread at least seven times. |
I didn't even notice. So stealthy.

No, I'd rather the marketing agency actually did something for taking tens of millions of dollars from a company that desperately needs this product to succeed. And actually accurately conveyed what the product is really all about.
The Wii U is the most sophsticated console Nintendo has ever made, it's not just a toy for kids, it's a full on set-top TV box, a social media integrated web centric machine, and a next-generation device gaming device to boot.
It deserves better than to be protrayed in this simplistic light. I think this marketing campaign is crap. Wii U deserves better and so does Nintendo.
That's my opinion, if you don't like it, that's not really my problem.
