Forums - Gaming - Online Gaming or Campaign?

Which do you spend most of your gaming time doing, playing the games main story line/the campaign or do you rush through it all and spend most of your time playing online?

I rarely play online I always play campaign and I tend to replay them at times, online is always so much work your never going to be better then most people (unless you spend 12 hours + a day playing). The only game I played online a lot was Resistance 2 and that was because a friend of my loved the game online and he kept coming over everyday just to play it even though I was really sick of it. We always played the 60 player matches when we started, he was getting around 50th place and I was doing about 25th place in every match, around the end of it after a few weeks of this almost 5 times a week I was getting about 1st or 2nd in every match and he was around 10th lol It was a fun online but sucks that I got 0 experience points out of it because I messed up on my match picking, if I actually got all the points and leveled up my character I'd probably be playing it today.

MP because there's nothing like pwning nooblets online.

Campaign most of the time, but once I'm done I go MP.

I buy games for their single player campaign. With multi-player games, I only like them if I get into it Day One, when everyone is kind of a noob, and then only for a little while. I've never played a competitive multi-player game that didn't dissolve into frustrations with things like half the user base running the most overpowered class, people camping spawn points, players only caring about their K/D ratio, and seemingly every other opponent using the latest exploit or questionable tactic.

I like playing defensive classes and I like putting objectives first. I feel out of place and unsuccessful in games where K/D is all anyone cares about. I've lost pretty much all my enthusiasm for multi-player games.

The day that single player campaigns fade from gaming is the day I find a new hobby.

I'm with you on that one, man.

Single player only, here, and I cannot stand MP. It's not that I'm untalented at it so much as the people drive me just about insane.

Options are only single-player or online? There is no better experience in gaming than getting a few buddies over to your house for a good local mtiplayer session.

That said, single player is what I spend the most time with, except in the odd case like Left 4 Dead, Smash Bros, or to a degree, Halo.

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?

"Ok, girl's trapped in the elevator, and the power's off.  I swear, if a zombie comes around the next corner..."

I buy games because of their single player campaign, if the game have online then it's just a bonus so I rarely play games just for online, it's not a selling point for me.

Nintendo and PC gamer

Since the story mode only lasts so many hours, it's easier to spend a larger amount of time on multiplayer. Most of the games I play nowadays are very social games by nature, so I'd say I spend more time with online multiplayer than story modes. (Spiral Knights, Terraria, Battlefield 3, Dota 2, FFXIV, etc.)

I only play online if its split screen with friends or over xbox live with friends

I usually buy a game for the online multiplayer. I don't usually have the patience when it comes to completing the single player campaign. With online the matches last about 10 minutes, if that, and then a new one starts with new outcomes and circumstances.
