I buy games for their single player campaign. With multi-player games, I only like them if I get into it Day One, when everyone is kind of a noob, and then only for a little while. I've never played a competitive multi-player game that didn't dissolve into frustrations with things like half the user base running the most overpowered class, people camping spawn points, players only caring about their K/D ratio, and seemingly every other opponent using the latest exploit or questionable tactic.
I like playing defensive classes and I like putting objectives first. I feel out of place and unsuccessful in games where K/D is all anyone cares about. I've lost pretty much all my enthusiasm for multi-player games.
The day that single player campaigns fade from gaming is the day I find a new hobby.
