I'd like to implement this for work. I can't go on the field with kgs of printed drawing in the backpack. What I need is something able to open massive pdf fast, ad the ability to swipe between pages, and interactibility with MS office. Dunno if Android based tablets can do that...

I'm dubious of Windows RT myself. The current app store is too small and it can't run the vast majority of Windows software. I think a proper Windows 8 x86 based tablet/laptop would be much better value currently. Having said that, I wouldn't like to predict how the tablet market will look in a year or two as the competitions fierce.

Yes.

For free, you could use Googles Docs. They don't match 100% of MSOffice features, but they can open and save into any Office type (even when it originated as a GDocs type).

For a cost, MS is releasing MSOffice on Android (and iOS) soon.

No he means iPad 4 as in the ... iPad 4 which Apple just unveiled alongside the mini last week.

No, iPad 4. Apple announced it at the same conference as the iPad mini. A ton of people were outraged by it, too, 'cos Apple announced it so soon after the 3rd.

Have you used an Android 4.x or above tablet? Or just the old 2.x tablets where the OS wasn't even intended for a tablet?

I used the Galaxy SIII and it's sucks like every other previous Android IMO.

For pad I used one with Android 3.x but it is just a cheaper option here for people that wants an iPad


S3 is nice, but you really need to use a "Nexus" device. Plain Android is FAR better than anything else. cleaner, faster, etc

Forget that option for Office... In my experiense is impossible to open/edit Office documents in any place instead Microsoft Office... it's painful.

And there are a big problem here... all the world uses Office.

I can't open customer office documents whti other alternatives... any graph, image, calculation and all the doc is ruined.

Ah well, I did use Apple's latest info from their site. They just don't label it with a number anymore. But the specs above are the latest. I'll change my label.

Lol, no but seriously, a lot of people missed it amidst the unveiling of the iPad mini and all Apple's other stuff. It still confuses me why they simply call it the 'New iPad'.
