Nexus 4 is not a 4" NExus... its the 4th Nexus phone. However, Nexus 7 and 10 are 7" and 10" tablets. wtf?

That's your opinion but I strong disagree with you... Andrid is a patchwork, with a not friendly interface and just run faster because the strong hardware...  the OS itself is very slow. It's complicated to use it.

Same reasons as always: Software, ecosystem. And apparently it's the best option for people who want cellular networking. But I agree that the Nexus 10 has impressive hardware specs at a good price.

One quibble with your table, the CPU in the A6X SoC is not a cortex A9. It's a custom CPU design based on the ARMv7 instruction set codenamed "Swift". Also, we don't know what clock it runs at, but 1.3-1.6 GHz seems likely.

I'm looking forward to a Swift vs A15 showdown, actually. From what I gather, A15 is expected to outperform Swift per clock, while Swift is expected to perform much better in terms of performance per watt. A15 was actually designed to bring good performance per watt to the server space, so it's optimization is a little off-target here.

Edit: Oh yeah, and you mean iPad 4th gen.

I feel the same way. But for people who don't care about backwards compatiblity the Windows 8 RT can do nearly everything and as apps get added it will do everything. But I, like you, would rather have an X86 Surface with full legacy support.

Use a 4.x Nexus device and then we'll rediscuss.

Apple bases their CPU tech on ARM and Cortex A9 is what its based on as was the last few Apple CPUs. "Swift" is just their code name.

A15 from all accounts I've read is a beast and truly outdoes anything else based on A9 (even dual vs quad core comparisons). However, a proper comparison would be best and I'm sure it will come with benchmarks between these specific devices soon.

EDIT: now even if CPU tweaks make it similar to N10, its GPU and a lot of the other hardware still pales in comparison. Overall, its still better hardware, similar OS at $100 less money all the while using standard connections.

Superchunk. I don't think you can convince someone who thinks S3 sucks to formulate a somewhat positive experience. What i mean is that the phone has zero lag, hardware specs and benchmarks that match anything else by competitors. Some people will always go with this "sucks" but that better. There are these kinds of people with all kind of brands and products. 

I don't think he is going to like it even if he gets the prototype Android 7.0 running on hexa core with 6GB of ram with 1200p resolution on a 4.5" screen. IMO. 

I just hate it because the development model, bugs and the UI itself.

You can like it but says it's on pair with iOS or the W8 is a joke... some guys here overate the Android... in my option it need to be remade from zero begining with the crap custom java machine (the main problem in the OS).
